I say tall/grande/venti. Well, I've never actually said venti. I usually get small drinks.

I usually say "Small/Medium/Large" and make a gesture with my hands, lol.

@mrbee: my DH also does this for the same passive-aggressive reasons...He's too manly to conform;)

I say what they want me to say:)

Lingo! @mrbee: you would get the eye roll. Ha! It's always funny to me when someone orders small, medium, or large, but I always assume they aren't Starbucks savvy, not that they are lodging a one-man (or woman) protest.

Grande Chai latte w/ soy milk, please

I say Medium in protest.

I say small/medium/large because their lingo confuses me. I think "tall" seems bigger than a "venti". They know what I mean

I order according to the menu (venti, etc.) ... When in Rome!! I actually run a design/branding studio, and I love the fact that Sbucks has given themselves another part of the brand experience that sets them apart from other coffee places.

I always order a tall. I didn't know I had a choice but to order in their language.

I ask for it the way it is on the menu. I wouldn't ask for a venti at McDonald's or Dunkin Donuts.
The only time I had trouble at Starbucks, I called to mention it and they added two free drinks/snacks on my card. I thought that was great customer service and have not had any other problems with them.

@MrBee: funny question! Are there other coffee shops besides Starbucks nearby where you live? You should visit a cafe where the baristas are kind and the coffee sizes make plain sense.

I order small, medium, large, mainly b/c I don't know the Starbucks terms. They usually repeat it back to me in Starbucks lingo.

@Vegmama: I like your way of looking at it! Perhaps I should challenge myself next time....I only order a coffee anyway, so it shouldn't be that hard. I'm a lazy customer.

Small/Medium/Large. It's my quiet but ornery little jab at their silly snobbery.

Depends on my mood! If it's in the morning and I'm grumpy, I say "small" (since their lingo annoys me), but if I'm in a good mood, I just go with it and say tall!

I use their lingo! I used to get flustered, but now my orders just roll off my tongue, haha.

I use their terms but this year I am cutting back. They got a lot of my money last year. The only time we go is on our way yo disneyland early in the morning. My husband would bd a grouch without it.

I say small, medium, large. None of their terms really make sense to me and don't really correspond with the sizes especially the venti because some of the "venti" sized drinks arent really 20oz
