I do a mix... I play to win but if I'm beating everyone and it's not fun, I ease up.
I have some friends that play to win, and don't really consider the fun factor. Well to be fair, playing to win can be fun if you're winning!
When you play board games, do you play to have fun or to win?

I'm not competitive at all, so I play just to have fun. Unless I'm playing my husband in Scrabble, and then I totally play with the intention of kicking his butt

Fun with the added bonus of winning. We have one friend who is ruthless and it has really ruined games night.

I play to win if I'm playing my DH. We're very competitive with each other. When I'm playing with a group I play to have fun.

I play to have fun, because I rarely win. But I talk a lot of smack while I'm playing.

Depends on the game. Team games I totally want to win, but board games with a bunch of people (like settlers of catan or monopoly or something) I assume I won't win and just play, or try to prevent DH from winning

Oh to win. For sure. My husband doesn't like to play board games with me.... I'm pretty intense.
