I think it's only polite to be a bit discreet... you don't have to rent a safe deposit box though. Somewhere in between feels reasonable.

@mrbee: yes...i had some younger adult cousins over a few weekends ago...and we left them our room...i made sure to hide all the "procreation gear"...i was scared they would find something...

I have an IUD that my mother and MIL know about. With condoms and when I took pills, I didn't really hide them but they were in my nightstand so they weren't just out.

My pregnancy is our birth control right now and the belly is kind of hard to hide.

We neeeever allow any guests in our bedroom or master bath. But, if we did I'd def hide the BC & femine products!

No. It's on my night stand. I have a baby. I'm married. They know we do it.

Not really. MIL and i are very open with each other so she doesn't mind if I have my BC pills out call women in my family are on the pill so we don't hide it.

I'd never let a guest stay in my bedroom, first. If I had a pack of pills I might put it in a drawer instead of just on the counter in the bathroom. Maybe. I'm married. I'm spacing my children in a way that works. That is not something I keep secret. But I come from a pretty liberal family.

It's an ongoing somewhat covert operation. My mother in law lives with us
She like used mind control or something to prevent and also to get pregnant and she is for the most part very anti drugs. I told her i dont take pills and I do lol oh well !
But in general even if i did live alone, i am always very discreet and private and would certainly be with guests. -
Guests don't come into my bathroom so it's not an issue

I keep my BC in our ensuite, and rarely if ever do any guests go in there, we have 2 other bathrooms they can use.

We used NFP/FAM to avoid pregnancy for over a year and a half and then used it to get pregnant. If somebody would be in our bedroom, we'd tuck our chart in a drawer, usually.

I leave them on my nightstand so I remember to take them each night. When compay comes I usually put them in th drawer. Before having the baby I would definitely hide them and not want anyone to see. After the baby, I don't really care. We're married adults who are using birth control as a means for spacing our children. I would never leave condoms out though.

We don't use condoms, but I'm not shy about being on the pill. I guess since my MIL is a nurse that helps...? She was in the delivery room watching the baby come out of my who-who-dilly so I'd say all modesty flew out of the window that day!

@Dapple Grey: When I eventually go back on the pill - I won't be telling my family either! My mom and sister are very against pills/hormones etc..
We have them in a box on the nightstand... otherwise no, not hidden. We don't really have people over very often.

I never thought about hiding anything. I'm an adult. I didn't think I had to.

I don't just leave it out but when I was on BC I'd keep it in my purse, condoms in a bedroom drawer, feminine products in a bathroom drawer or cupboard... Speaking of which I missed my last gyno appointment and need to reschedule and get a new BC.

We use condoms and those stay in the master bathroom. When I was on the pill, I kept them in my purse. I didn't feel like I was hiding them. I just didn't feel like they needed to be out in everyone's face.

No, I just have my pills and I wouldn't be embarrassed if someone saw those.
