I like it when Charlie wakes up early, because I can use that time to do the dishes and make an omelet together with him (he eats better when he makes his own food).
Sometimes Charlie sleeps in, and then the dishes pile up until we can get to them later in the day! Although in those cases, it *is* nice to get a little extra sleep!
When your LO wakes you up early in the morning, what do you do with all the extra time?

If DD wakes up early then she gets a one way ticket into mommy and daddy's bed for the morning. It takes quite an effort to get me out of bed early. I would much rather just bring DD into bed with me, so we can all get a little more rest in the morning...

We snuggle in bed and he eventually falls back asleep for a bit, so nothing productive.

I do nothing, but enjoy the bed by myself. The deal in our house is I get up at night wakings and he gets up when they get up in the morning. He needs less, but more continuos sleep, and I do better with more hours, but they can be broken up, so it works for us.

We just start our routine early, I might get a little extra HB time or some extra cleaning done that day.

Turn on sesame street and sit there all pissy and half asleep. Then she'll do something cute and I'm instantly over it.
