Honestly, that is my BIGGEST fear! I have expressed what a worry this is to my DH, he assures me that if I'm that sick he'll take the day and be with the kids. But, I don't really believe him. We haven't had to do that yet, but I know it will come sooner rather than later. I wish you luck today with your sick LO and yourself. I have to admit that if I were in your shoes, I would be a little angry as well

I can't stand that about guys sometimes! They just.don't.get.it!!! So frustrating! Sorry you're sick and the hubby put you in a bad mood today! Hope you feel better soon.

If DH is home and I'm sick, I expect him to take the brunt of the workload with DD until I'm feeling better. Once he's at work I pick it back up, but I feel like I'll get better faster if I can rest and recover.

Wow, I'd be kind of pissed at my DH. I get really bad migraines, so that's my kind of sick. He's used to having to help out a lot and he's amazing when it comes to going above and beyond at doing extra work and taking care of LO. When LO was a newborn he would always be the one to take the crappy shifts at night so I could get my rest.... or I'd get a migraine.

I guess it depends how sick I am. If I can just deal with it, I do. I'll go in LO's room and lay on her floor while she plays. But many days I can't deal with it. Sometimes DH has to take off, or my mom will take off. She works for my dad so she is able to do that whenever I need her.... and she's retiring soon. I think I'm more excited than she is because then I won't have to worry as much when I get a migraine!
