I wore a rashguard last year, but I found the long sleeve to be way too hot when I wasn't in the water so I'm looking for a regular swimming suit this year. I like the retro styles because they provide so much coverage! Considering this one:

I bought my one-piece from J. Crew last year and a tankini and bottom from Lands End the year prior. I still wear both so I won't be buying another one. I like both!

I'm still looking. I've tried 4 different tops from jcrew, but I've just decided that jcrew isn't made for anyone who with even a pinch of back fat. I've got a few on order from lands end right now, and am thinking about trying this one from anthro

one piece from j.crew, a tankini & shorts from athleta.
I bought the j.crew one first and was worried about coverage / it moving around too much so I ordered the more athletic one from athleta. I wore the j.crew one at the spa and it actually stayed put really well, so I think I'll be able to wear either option for chasing baby around this summer.

@woodentulip: ok you convinced me! i ordered it. i'll still wear my rashguard when i'm in the pool with the kids, but when i'm out of the water the rashguard just gets too hot!

I work for a swimwear company now, but no all the samples fit me since I'm top heavy! I like Coco Rave since it's a bra size collection! I also bought a tankini set from Target.

@Mrs. Bee: that's the one I have (in black) and I love it! It's such good, thick quality material and I expect it to last a loooong time! I like the retro look and how it covers some of my thighs too. It was pretty forgiving on my postpartum body when I got it last year.

I'm not sure if I'm going to buy any this year. I bought a bunch of suits last year and I'm holding out on buying any suits pre-baby. Hoping that the next time I have to buy will be during baby or post baby.

@Mrs. Bee: I love that! I usually get a tankini because I like to get boy shorts for the bottom and that looks like that's how that bottom is cut!
I've looked for something in maternity that is inexpensive and haven't had any luck so far. It's going to be a hot summer!

Last year I bought a Juicy Couture one-piece halter. It's retro style and has a lot of forgiving ruching. Usually I get bikinis from anywhere and everywhere (L*space is one of my favorites).
For more coverage, I bought a great La Blanca tankini (like this, but in turquoise) at Marshalls this year for half the original price. Also found a L*space knock-off one-piece from Forever 21.
