If you love your glider/recliner, where did you purchase it and about how much did you spend?
DH and I agree that it's a piece we would like to last us through more than one child, and perhaps even use in a different room in our home eventually.
It seems like every one I have seen is either inexpensive and looks like it wouldn't last long or is really expensive (i.e. Pottery Barn!) but beautiful.
Ideas appreciated!

We bought ours from a local kids furniture store. We bought the floor model that was on clearance for around $400. We have the BHF Tryp chair that rocks, swivels, and reclines fully.

We got ours at Target during the baby sale earlier this year. It was about $400. I love it and it feels comparable to the $1200 gliders I tried. Also like that it was made in the US.

I bought my glider and ottoman online at Target. I think it was almost $500 for both.

@Cara M. 17: I don't remember the model but it is a Best Chair. It is all fabric, and we didn't order the ottoman. It was another $150 and I didn't think we would need it. So far I don't regret that choice. It doesn't recline either, just swivels and glides. I can take a picture later.

They carry BHF chairs at BBB, but I'm not sure if they carry the Tryp. I just checked the BHF website for dealers near me, and neither of the kids stores I went to are listed on their site. If you have local kids furniture stores, I would check with them directly.

We just bought a la-z-boy on sale/clearance. It ended up not fitting in the babies room well, so it ended up in the living room, but I am still very happy with it. I wanted something very multi-purpose.

We bought ours at Buy Buy Baby and it is made by little castle. We did the custom glider with piping and a matching ottoman. I cannot believe I spent so much--855...but it has been worth every single cent I spent on it. I also used TWO of their coupons to bring down the price.

We ordered ours from Buy Buy Baby as well. It's called Chelsea by Little Castle. It comes with an ottoman. We are waiting for the call (hopefully tomorrow!) to come pick it up. Using a 20% off coupon we paid only about $260 for the glider and ottoman. It comes in chocolate, mocha or sage with cream piping. We bought ours in mocha.

we got the Graham Glider from west elm. They were having a sale a few weeks ago and we saved on shipping by picking it up at the store. We didn't get an ottoman, we plan to re-cover one that we already have with fabric that we are using in the nursery. It's so comfy and modern looking!

I was trying to save money so I actually was able to find one on Craigslist for $100 (Shermag glider and ottoman). I was pretty picky too because there was a lot of ugly stuff on Craigslist, but this one had brown wood w/tan upholstery, so I knew it would match the furniture in our nursery.
