Our crib doesn't convert, so we have to buy a new twin bed for DD's "big girl bed". We are having the hardest time trying to find anything we like. I see plenty of great toddler beds, but we wanted to go ahead and move her to a twin instead. I just didn't think it'd be that hard to find a nice, white, twin bed haha! (oh, that's under $300)
Where did you end up finding yours?

Have you checked Costco, if you're a member? We got our son's bed there, it's a full sized one, but they might have something in your budget and style.

I haven't bought anything yet, but have been looking. Ikea has a few nice beds that are inexpensive and low to the ground.

I second Costco and Ikea. Costco is more expensive than Ikea but the quality is better.

We got a set of target bunk beds and put the pair in her room. We actually got them from craigslist but they are in good condition.

We just have a mattress and box spring for now. I'm such a worry wart that I worried the bed would be too high for her to get off the bed or she would have a long fall if she were to fall. So we just have the bed on the floor for now, will buy a frame/headboard later.

We've been very happy with the ikea malm. It's nice and low to the ground so we never needed a rail.

We have an IKEA bed that I really like - it's a daybed that can convert to a king (for guests) and has two huge drawers underneath for storage. We bought a dak brown wood color, but I think it also comes in white.

DH had a "This End Up" twin bed from his apartment days that we used, it was the daybed style so it had rails that slide in/out but we never used them. We bought a "Through the Barn Door" bunkbed/lofting set from Craigslist for when DS is ready for a big boy bed since they share a room.
