@mrbee: I would have LOVED to honeymoon overseas (or on a warm beach somewhere) but D planned the honeymoon (we had a super short engagement, and we didn't have a lot of money when we got married). We ended up honeymooning in the Adirondack's...we hit two High Peaks in one day!

@mrbee: It was really awesome, actually! But we made a deal that we'll take a really awesome second honeymoon trip for five year anniversary...overseas or tropical, I haven't decided yet! (Or maybe both!)

Nevis, West Indies. We stayed in a cottage on an old sugar plantation and had marvelous time together.

Thailand and Cambodia! We started in Bangkok then headed to Cambodia where we went to Siem Reap and took a long boat ride on the tonle sap to Battambang. We then took a bus to Phnom Pehn where we stayed a couple of nights before we headed to Koh KuT island back in Thailand for our beach portion. It was three weeks of heaven and we got our surprise BFP that month in Thailand. Pretty amazing.

Fiji!!

NOLA

New Zealand for our real honeymoon, although it was actually just before our wedding. We couldn't go afterwards (see below) so we just planned it for a couple of months before our wedding! Maybe not technically a honeymoon but I consider it to be one.

Yellowstone for our post-wedding mini moon - we wanted to hang out with some of our friends and family who had travelled from overseas to attend our wedding, so we invited them all to come with us! So. Much. Fun.

Disney World!! It was awesome.

Maui! It was delayed, and we went on our honeymoon last year when I was pregnant with DS2. It was our only opportunity to go unless we wanted to wait another 2-3 years. So much fun! Even if it was a 3 year delay, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Fethiye, Turkey. It was wonderful. I'll never forget our initial reaction when we were first brought to our rooms. It was complete shock and amazement! Our room overlooked the Mediterranean, there was wooden ship docked close-by with live music echoing and our patio was open to the stars.

We plan on going back with LO someday (they had a fab kid's club).

Zion national park. It had to be somewhere local since my husband found out like 2 weeks before the wedding his work denied his request to take time off for our honeymoon. They also didn't give him the day of the wedding off so he had to beg a coworker to trade him. Fun fun. We said we would go on a honeymoon later but since then I've developed quote the plane phobia so I don't see it happening.

We didn't honeymoon. We had a trip booked to Negril, Jamaica but I decided to cancel it after I had a miscarriage.

Greece and Turkey!

We went to Acadia National Park and camped for a few days right after the wedding then went to Maui for our true honeymoon a few months later. Both were amazing!!

Costa Rica! It was lovely.

Maldives

The Pacuare Lodge in Costa Rica.

It is the most beautiful and surreal place I've ever been... You have to white water raft in , there is no power so you are totally unplugged .. Somehow they manage to offer the most luxurious accommodations and divine food in the middle of the rainforest.

I dream of going back every single day!
