At how many different stores did you register? Did you do a combination of online and brick and mortar stores?
Currently, we are registered at BBB (which I love, but it's not everywhere), PB Kids (just a few items there) and I am wondering if I should add Amazon to the list, or something similar.

I registered at BRU and Target. If I could do it over again I would register at BBB (now open in my area but not when I was pregnant) and Amazon. Most guests want to walk into a store and physically see products and purchase. Both my sisters registered online at Diapers.com and only two or three people purchased from there. I think people tend to buy from places that they are familiar with, which is why I think Amazon might be a better online store.

Target and Bru.
Honesty for me, I wouldn't have done amazon because nobody bought online. I'm a registry stalker so I know that literally half the registry was bought the day of my shower, you cant do that if you buy online.

We did BBB and Target. Most people ended up buying stuff online i think, but between the 2 there were options for people to go into the stores.
Target also gives 10% off registry items not purchased.

I haven't set up registries yet, but we don't live near most of the family, so I think most things will be bought online--as they were for our wedding. That said, our wedding registries were only for brick and mortar stores, but they all have the online option too. I think our decision will depend on what we find where. If we can find what we're looking for at two real stores (which would also have online buying options), we'll go that way. If not, we'll probably add Amazon or something else online.

Buy buy baby, giggle, and babies r us. looking back, I could have done without the giggle registry (we thought we were getting our furniture from there but ended up ordering it from amazon). We also did registries on Amazon and Land of Nod, but those were private and no one knew about them but us.

We registered at Target and BBB. We haven't gotten anything off of our BBB registry yet but we have one more shower so we'll see There's not much on that one anyway- the main one is the Target registry.

we registered at BRU and Target - and like @artbee, most of my registry items were purchased in the days leading up to the shower. I know a few people ordered online and had it shipped, but only 3 (?) people.
if we lived near a Buy Buy Baby, I definitely would have registered there!!

Thanks, all! I love BBB (and @sweetchic, it's the same company as Bed, Bath, and Beyond!) but unfortunately they don't have everything we want and also it's not convenient for a lot of people who might be looking at our registries. I am now thinking Target as well, since that's almost everywhere, instead of Amazon. Sounds like a lot of you liked your Target registries!

We did target and amazon and it worked out well. More.people got us amazon stuff for our local showers than i expected but you never know.
I find BRU pricey compared to the other two and while i have heard great things about BBB there isnt one in our area yet. Good luck!

@mamacate-- BBB is such a great store! We have just found that the selection and the service/expertise there is wonderful. Anytime we've had a question about a product or just general information, we've found answers and then some. I hope it comes to your area soon

I'm working on registries at Amazon and BRU via the web. Amazon is great! I don't like the BRU registry, though. I don't like the selection, and the categories and sorting in the registry list don't make any sense. Am thinking about trying Target instead.

we are doing BBB and amazon. i'm so glad that a BBB opened up nearby us! it's so well laid out and not overwhelming like every BRU i've gone in.

BRU and amazon. A lot of my friends are online shoppers so I got quite a few gifts from Amazon.

BRU and Amazon. Amazon was the only store that carries our chosen baby carriers, high chair, and crib mattress. The rest of the stuff on there is carried by Target but not BRU, but I didn't think it made sense to put just four big-ticket essentials on a registry that would be ignored with two brick and mortar options. I really hope nobody ignores Amazon as is!
