Did you put them in a crib immediately?
I always assumed they came home and went right to their crib in their room, buuut i'm seeing otherwise mentioned here.
So, where did your LO sleep?

We tried a bassinet but she hated it so she slept in a PNP bassinet for the first 4.5 months.

We planned on putting him in his crib right away, but I just couldn't do it. He sleeps in a pnp next to me in our room.

She slept in a bassinet we bought used at a consignment sale (Kids Exchange in Raleigh) beside the bed for 3 months. At 3 months, we moved her to her crib. This coincided with me going back to work, as well.

we have a 1br so LO slept in the rock and play and then transitioned to the crib.

she slept in the rock n play in our room, then the bassinet on the pack n play, and then in her crib at 10 weeks.

In a bassinet in our room next to our bed. At around 4 weeks we moved him to his crib in his room.

He slept in the crib for maybe a day or two. After that, it was pretty much in the Rock N Play next to me on the couch. I think we also put him in the newborn napper in the Pack N Play.

In our room, in either her bouncy seat or pack and play. She's 5.5 weeks, and that's still the setup.

DD went into her crib in her room starting on day 1. DS started in a PNP in our room and moved into his crib around 4months because he shares a room with DD and we didn't want him to wake her up. He is currently back in the PNP in our office/our bedroom due to a 6 month sleep regression.

LO had reflux so she slept in the infant carrier for the first couple months so she was more upright. Then we transitioned to the basinet. She finally made it to the crib in her own room at around 3 or 4 months.

Rock N Play in our room for a month.
Rock N Play in his room from 1 month til 3.5 months.
Crib in his room since 3.5 months.

In her crib in he nursery from day 1. For naps she usually took them in the rock n play in a area that had light and noise so she could learn to nap through distractions.

We use this Summer Infant sleeper that sits on our bed: http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Sleeper-Portable-Bedding/dp/B005ASKQ42
We started him out in a RnP, but he didn't love it. He sleeps really well in this thing in the bed with us! I like it because it allows most of the benefits of co-bedding, but is safer.

Bassinet in our room for 4 weeks.
Crib in his room for the next 2 weeks, then used Rock & Play in his room until 4 months. Transitioned back to the crib at 4 months.

Bassinet in our room for the first 4 weeks and then right to his crib!

@allison: We used this on our bed for the first two months or so.
Then she was in her pack n play beside the bed until 5.5 months when we sleep trained and moved her to her crib.

In a bassinet next to our bed, but this is because our nursery is on a different floor than our bedroom and I didn't want to have to go up the stairs every 2 hours in the beginning. I'm thinking we'll transition him to his crib around 4 weeks or so.

Planned to do crib right away, but I couldn't do it yet. Bassinet next to the bed for now. Hoping to try and transition to the crib by 2-4 weeks.

we put him in a graco travel lite pack n play bassinet in our bedroom the first week or so for nighttime, and had him nap either in the bassinet or his crib. however around 1 or 2 weeks, it became inconvenient to have him nap in the bassinet during the day because i felt like i had to tiptoe around him, and having him in the bassinet at night also became disruptive because i couldn't sleep with every single grunt, noise, etc. that he made!
looking back, we didn't use the bassinet nearly as much as i thought we would (i also got the impression from what i read on the boards that having the baby sleep in the room would be the best option), and we could have put him in his crib right away.

Wherever we could get him to sleep! In our bed, bouncy chair, we even moved the swing into our bedroom for awhile. He's 5 months and now sleeps in the pack n play next to our bed.

Co-slept in our bed or in a PnP in our bedroom until 5 months (the former was the only way he'd sleep...we'd try to move him over when he was asleep, but it only worked sometimes). After 5 months we moved him into his crib in his own room.

She slept on my chest. Just would NOT be put down. At 8 weeks we went to the rock n play at 8 weeks next to the bed, and it was great.

Lo slept in a bassinet next to my side of the bed until about 4 months. During the day she preferred to be held when sleeping though,

Safely co-slept in our bed in her own mattress. This makes middle of the night cluster feeds so much easier!

She slept on my chest for about a week, then in a moses basket and then after about eight weeks went into her crib. She never really liked the moses basket, but loved the crib!

In her crib at night every night from the first day home. Naps happen wherever. Sometimes on me, sometimes on the floor under her activity gym, sometimes in the swing, sometimes (but rarely) in the pack n play. We're trying to do more pack n play naps to get her ready for day care.

pnp/bassinette in our room for the first 16 weeks or so. Naps all over, but often on our chests...

In our antique bassinet in her own room until she outgrew it at eleven weeks then in to her cot

In a Phil and Teds nest on my bedside table. Until he grew out of it at around 2 months (and all our visitors had gone home so the nursery was finally free!) and we moved him to his cot.
If we hasn't had visitors for so long using the nursery, I imagine we would have moved him earlier, like 6 weeks or so maybe?
