I have had luck at Marshalls/ TJ Maxx and sometimes online when they are running a sale.
I'll like to start maybe adding a book a month to her library. Wondering where else everyone buys books?
Library / Garage sales are probably a good resource but I don't get to those as often as I'd like.

Value Village is awesome - they are mostly gently used but often I find brand new hard cover books there. They are 0.99, and every 4th book is free! That's how I stock my classroom library and now that LO is on the way I've been scouring it for baby too

I get a lot of books from Half-Price Books. Most of them are brand new, especially if they are non-fiction. A lot of the fiction books are used, but I'm okay with that.

I found a bunch of good ones at HomeGoods when I was home last Christmas. Thats where we got our Madeline board book. 
Garage sales are our main one. A lot of C's are used.

Goodwill! 9o% of our books are like brand new from there an all were less than a dollar. Dollar tree stores also sometimes get scholastic overflow and have cheapies.

My LO loves the $1 board books from Target. There are some lame ones there, but there are also some really great ones like Sesame Street Seasons/Words, Mickey Mouse Colors/ABCs, Dora Counting, etc.

I scout out half-price books. At some school fundraisers, B&N will bring a ton of books for sale starting at like $3-$5 and as each hour passes, they go down a dollar until they're $1. If you wait, you run the risk the book gets snatched up.

I used to stock up on books when Amazon had their 4 for 3 deal. Unfortunately they got rid of it earlier this year.

Check to see if your area United Way offers the Imagination Library. One free book/month for kids under 5!
