Wish I could say that we go to a local pumpkin patch, but since we have no car we actually usually just grab one (or morr!) from our local grocery store!
Where do you get your Halloween pumpkin every year?

We go to a farm, about a half hour up the coast. I like going in the early evening with a mug of apple cider, and proceed to get lost in the corn maze.

@mrbee: we go somewhere out east on the North Fork. You should head out east one year! Go to Briermere's - they have awesome pies....yum, I want pie.

Pumpkin patch at a church. They set it up for great photo ops. It's the same every year so we have family pictures in front of the same fall scene every year.

We got to a church that sells them or a local farm. I prefer supporting local interests with things like that.

Grocery store. But starting this year we will go to a pumpkin patch since we have LO. Will make it a family tradition of pictures and going to pick one.

@mrbee: go to one of the places where you pay for all you can carry. Great photo ops of dad trying to carry all the pumpkins and usually a little cheaper!

@swedishfish: yumm....pie.
I want to go to patch with the LO this year. DH usually brings one home from the grocery store. He's into carving.

We go to a local farm to check out their pumpkins and enjoy apple cider donuts. Then we go to the grocery store to buy the actual pumpkins. It's just too expensive at the farm. I can end up spending $50 on two pumpkins, and it's only $10 at the store for two.

Lowes. We have a church pumpkin patch down the road, but they charge like $20 a pumpkin. Not gonna happen.
Sometimes we end up making a trip to my FILs hunt camp in SE Georgia in the fall, and there is an amazing patch on the way up that I always make my poor husband stop at. But they have pumpkins in practically every color and shape so I can't resist.

Grocery store. Pumpkin patches are ridiculously overpriced.
