I know LOs tend to wake up pretty early in the morning. On the few occasions I'm up super early and restless and want to go out, I don't exactly know where to go. (i.e. This morning I was up early and thought I might go to BRU or Target, but neither were open for another 2-3 hours.)
Where do you take your LO if you want to get out early in the morning, besides a cafe or for a walk? It's too cold that early for me!

Honestly, I can't imagine leaving the house super early in the morning. If I HAD to, I would go to Target or the grocery store or Walmart. But those places make my head hurt that early (too many bright lights) so we would just stay home.

Starbucks! I would do the drive through sometimes too. If you aren't doing caffeine, you could have a steamed milk with a shot of almond.. yum.

@mrs. wagon: Yeah, I did that once but I was there for like 2 1/2 hours before anything opened! Doh!

Target opens at 8 here. That's probably the earliest I would leave the house anyway, unless we were heading out on a road trip. Maybe Starbucks or something if I had to get out really early for some reason.
I actually try to run my errands on the early side, always before noon if I can help it. It's so much easier to navigate with the double stroller when there are fewer people around!

Hehe, I think the mall would be a great choice! You could hang out with all the old mallwalkers/go speedwalking with a stroller, and usually Starbucks/some food court places open an hour before the stores.

we used to live a block from the playground. charlie was an early riser and i would take him there at 6am!

@MerryC: @tororojo: Target and the mall - lol! I guess life won't be too different after baby comes too! haha! I was never an early-riser EVER before pregnancy. I hope this baby likes to sleep in as much as I used to!

@shopaholic: haha, I know. my kids actually LOVE target for some reason. now that they are older and getting more stir crazy, we go multiple times a week. it's dangerous

When I was still on maternity leave, I went to vote and to my favorite convenient store for rice milk. I was tempted to go to the produce market down the street, but my LO kept waking up on me. Right now, the challenge is to leave the house without him waking up before then. For the past two days, he's gotten extra mommy time in the morning with his wakeups.
