Our lame HOA won't let us keep our trash outside, so our trash bin and recycling bin stay in the garage.
Summer heat + humidity + trash = nasty stinkiness. -.-
I hate it.
So happy today's trash day!

I can only imagine how nasty that is! We're able to keep ours outside, though I hate walking up to my trash everyday.
The sucky thing is that our trash pickup is private, so everyone has trash day on a different day in the neighborhood. Trash cans always out by the curb and trash trucks always rumbling through the street!

ours is on the siding of our house. same issue just add a couple of flies to the mix.

Ours is in our garage for the same reason. It's disgusting and I often worry about the smell getting into my car. Eww.

On the side of our house, behind the...air conditioner? Whatever large thing sits outside your house and has a fan in it.

Garage for same reasons, luckily ours seals pretty good so you only have to endure the smell when you are putting trash in (I've learned to just hold my breath while doing that).

Everyone in our neighborhood leaves it at the end of the driveway. We have a rear entry garage if that makes a difference.
Trash in the heat inside the garage? Yuck!

My parents have theirs in the garage bc of their HOA too but it doesn't get so hot here in WA
