Since she is only 4 months, and can't sit up yet, she stays in her car seat, but I put it in the back of the cart. Not the top, it makes me nervous. If we are in a mall, she goes in a stroller. Sometimes I'll use her front carrier, but after a while, that gets heavy. I can't wait until she can sit up on her own!

I always put the entire infant carrier in the cart but it limited my shopping! I saved bigger trips with DH.

DS won't tolerate his car seat, so I baby wear him when I go shopping.

If I'm with DH then he usually carries her capsule or she goes in the stroller, if I'm by myself then I either put her in the frontpack carrier or just hold her.

I usually babywear DD and DS(4) goes in the front of the cart.

This was always really problematic when DD was little. I never had a great solution. Once she could go in the cart around 6 months, a whole new world opened up. She *loves* sitting in the cart and seeing everything at the store. Now shopping is one of our favorite activities.

I wear her 100% of the time. She loves shopping! lol

I usually put her in her stroller or in the ergo depending on what we're doing. If I'm shopping for clothes for instance she'll be in the stroller so I don't have to take her off every time I try something on.

Ergo! People try to touch her if she's in the cart.

I put him in the cart...I tried on top of the seat but I'm not tall enough to see over the carrier! Can't wait until he's old enough to put him in the cart.

Usually in his car seat in the stroller. I just don't buy huge amounts and save that for when I can go by myself. But my oldest sits on the shopping cart. Luckily he likes to sit rather than walk. Makes food shopping so much easier!

Usually I put him in his ergo! If he's sleeping in his carseat sometimes I'll leave him in the carseat and put it in the back of the cart orrrr if we're at the mall he goes in the stroller.

Beco or ring sling until very recently he's in the cart now... But I still sometimes put him in the baby carrier- especially with all the sickness going around. I like carrying him.

I want to baby wear but since its cold out, I haven't been. I worry that since its cold out, the process of taking him out of the car seat and into the k'tan would upset him too much because of the cold. How do others manage this?

This thread reminded me that I need to buy a cart handle cover for when we visit my mom. It'll be the first time she'll sit in a cart and I know she'll be chewing at that handle.
Right now she still sits inside her carseat while we stick it inside an empty cart.

I used the Ergo until just recently. Now I only use it sometimes and the other times he sits in the cart. He thinks he's pretty hot stuff now that he's big enough to sit in the cart.

She's almost always in a stroller right now. But, I've yet to go to the store by myself. She's a bit more difficult and cranky so it doesn't sound fun to me to have to deal with a possible meltdown in a store while shopping. When DH is with me, we know one of us can take her out to the car to calm her down. She is getting better though so soon that shouldn't be an issue.

She goes in the cart. When she was a teeny tiny she'd go in the stroller. I never had to go to the store by myself.... for big grocery trips DH or my mom would go for me.

DD goes in the front of the cart and DS is in the Ergo. It is AMAZING to me though, how many people watch me put DD in the cart while I'm wearing DS and don't offer to help..... Perhaps it is because they are so impressed with this amazing ability ;), but regardless a little help would be nice sometimes.....

He goes in the cart. But in the beginning he went in his carrier in the top of the cart or his stroller

DS is 25 lbs and I still put him in the Ergo at the grocery store. I won't even put my groceries in the cart seat... I know I will have to get over this at some point. Cart covers seem like a pain to use though and the one I have is so bulky.
