I'm trying to figure out a daily routine that will keep Lil miss wagon awake as much as possible through the day. Right now she splits her time between the bouncy seat and grandma's arms... Where does your newborn spend their waking hours, if they have any?? She sleeps all day then stays up all night!!

When LO was a newborn she was mostly in my arms or in her car seat. Those were her two favorite places

LO chilled in her swing, our arms, in our bed, on the couch..
Hope she starts sleeping well at night soon! -
I think I just held her since she didn't like the swing or bouncer at first.

My LO stayed in my arms most of the day. She cried if I put her down. She still slept most of the day, but that didnt' stop her from sleeping at night.

rock and play sleeper, swing, and our arms (only while we're bouncing her).

She loved her swing right off the bat. As she got a little older, you know - 7 weeks is older - she started liking her bouncy seat more. She loves our arms.

@Clementine: i can't wait to post it!! It's all written but our computer crashed, and we didn't lose all our pictures but we've been backing up all our stuff to another external hard drive. After that's all done, wagon sr has to edit all the photos. Sighhhhh.

I found it hard at the very beginning to keep DS awake since I was also learning how to juggle both kids. I ended up putting DS in his bouncy seat, his car seat or on the floor on a blanket the majority of the time. That way, I could get him involved with whatever I was doing with DD, and interact with both kids at once.
ETA: DS also spent a lot of time in the Moby, once my husband went back to work and everyone left. It was much easier to have him in the carrier once I became responsible for both kids all by myself!

She spent most of her time in our arms nursing! We did take 1 trip out of the house each day so that helped and we would try to take a walk.

Mostly in my arms or in grandma's arms. The turning point was 2 months--he would sit in his swing for periods of time or nap by himself on *our* bed. He had an aversion to sleeping in his bassinet during the day--go figure.

I had a big aha! moment when I realized that my LO would fall asleep when he was overstimulated by too much light, people, and sound. To get him to stay awake more, I would hang out with him in a quieter room.
He cried pretty much any time I wasn't holding him for more than 5 minutes. It used to take me like 3 hours to take a shower and get dressed! Good times.

In someone's arms or in the Nap Nanny (where she slept for the first 7 weeks).

In my arms or the swing. She loves the swing. She will nap there butwhen awake she can't hang out in it for more than 15 mins or so at the most.
