If you could get on a plane and go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
There are so many to choose from, but I think I would pick Peru. I've always wanted to go there...

I'd love to hit all the continents, so Antarctica. Just because it's the hardest to get to and I'd like to cross it off my list. Even though I'm sure I'd be miserable, I hate the cold!

@artbee: Ooh, I should have thought of that!
I actually researched that for our honeymoon - a cruise from South America to Antarctica. It's pricey! We went to Budapest instead... haha

@MH.Abroad: Budapest is soooo beautiful! That's another place I'd like to go back to and take my husband. He's a genealogy nerd and both of our families are from there so he'd love it.

Jamaica! I have always wanted to go. Honestly, anywhere in the Caribbean. It looks so beautiful. It's one of my goals to go in the next three years.

i went to peru. one thing i regret is that we didn't get to go to machu picchu (i went for a mission trip and we just didn't have the time, and then the earthquake hit lima!).... i LOVED the peruvians. they are such wonderful people. so friendly. the kids are so cute! i'd advise you to stay at a nice business-y, touristy area though. we stayed in a really really really nasty motel.
if i were able to go anywhere right now, it'll probably be korea. i REALLY miss korea and the food. mmmmmm. it's been over 8 years since i've been there.

Istanbul or St. Petersburg. I want to see the Hagia Sophia before I die!

@Mrs. Marbles: We went to St. Petersburg this summer! The Hermitage museum was so, so amazing! Definitely a must see. I could spend days in there.
I'd vote for somewhere in Africa. We've done most of Europe as well as the US/Canada/Caribbean etc.

I would love to go on an African safari!
@MH.Abroad: A cruise to Antarctica is on mine and DH's bucket list too!

@SouthPaw: Those are my two favorite places in the world!
@tana_bk: Have a blast! We went on our honeymoon there. Don't spend too much time in Bangkok
I would love to go to the Galapagos to see the wildlife. And I need to go to France/Germany ... I've been a lot of other places in Europe, but not the biggies, somehow.

@Mrs.KMM: Oh, I would totally do a safari, too! We looked into it once, but it's definitely $$$!

@yoursilverlining: That sounds fabulous! I've read so much about The Hermitage museum... it definitely seems like you could get lost in there. I was hoping to visit in late Fall or early Winter to get a true Russian experience, but I also hate the cold!

@Mrs. Marbles: I think fall or winter would be the perfect time to go. We went in August and it was so packed (like, WAY way worse than Disneyland lol). It was hard to see a lot of the pieces because there were just too many people. Its neat though, you can walk right up to the paintings and artwork – you don’t have to stand feet back like in most museums, and (since we were there in summer) they had all sorts of windows open so there was so much fresh natural, fresh light. You’ll love it!

@Mrs. Marbles: Oh, I went to Istanbul in April! It was amazing, I want to go back and bring my husband.

@yoursilverlining: Thanks for the tips! I am definitely moving St. Petersburg up on the list... once we are able to really travel internationally again!
@MH.Abroad: In which area did you stay? I'm not super familiar with Istanbul, but there are two sides correct? One is more modern and the other is more classical? I'm also super interested in visiting the markets. I love markets!

Can I just go on a world cruise, so I can hit all of the places I want to go? I'd like to go to: The Maldives, Israel, Italy, Ireland and Africa. Oh, did you say just one? I have plenty more...

@Mrs. Marbles: We stayed in the old part of the city. The markets (especially the Grand Bazaar!) are amazing! Although I got cat-called the entire time, even though I was wearing a long skirt and a head scarf. lol

@Mrs. Marbles: The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia are incredible... and make sure you try the kebabs. And Turkish Delight. And Turkish Coffee. And you have to leave plenty of space in your suitcases for the incredible lamps from the markets.
