Why don't hospitals send new parents home with a manual on their new baby? There are so many things that you don't know when you bring home baby, how are we supposed to learn them all, just through experience?
Also, what did people do without the internet?? Pediatricians got a whole lot of calls that they don't get now?

@mediagirl: Totally!! But then again, no manual could cover everything! Every baby does something different, in a different way, at a different age. Frustrating at times, I know.

They made us watch a video. I guess they thought that was enough.

I remember them telling me a few wrong things so I wouldn't rely on their manual anyway!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing in the first few weeks. I was given a book as a gift that had a lot of answers to my questions. But the hospital just sent me home with one sheet of paper with instructions of things to do. It was useless to me. But my doctor told me I could call the nurses from the labor and delivery ward and they would be happy to answer certain questions

@mediagirl: Haha I've thought that during a lot of phases of my life ("What would I do without the internet")... researching colleges, buying a car, buying a house, planning a wedding, and now TTC. Seriously, how did people do all these things?

I am SO very thankful for google! With DS I didn't have a laptop so I read ALOT of books and relied alot on my WTEFY. Now it's Hellobee, Google, Dr. Sears, and Kellymom!
