Location in vehicle: passenger, center, driver's side? Third row?
We just got a new (used) vehicle and there is a latch system in the middle seat so we decided to hook her up in the middle in that car. She's on the passenger side in my car.

I drive a Nissan Versa and there is no way I could have one in the middle and one outboard in it.

Hyundai Elantra, DH can't drive or even sit comfortably (for very long) with a RF carseat behind him.

In my car: DS1 in centre RFing with a belt install (no centre latches) and DS2 on passenger side in bucket seat with base installed via latch.
In DH's car: DS1 RFing on passenger side using latch system. DH drops him off at daycare. When we take DS2 anywhere we use my car since I'm on mat leave.

Right now both of mine are in convertible seats FF, in the second row, one behind driver, one behind passenger.
When baby 3 arrives, I'll probably put my oldest into a booster in the 3rd row, keep dd in middle behind passenger and baby in 2nd row behind driver.

You might want to check if your daughter is too big for latch. You can only use latch up to 65 lbs but that also includes the weight of the carseat.
We have one on the passenger and one on the drivers side.

We just turned my 4.5yo FF on the weekend, and she's on the passenger side. My 1yo is RF on the drivers side. Once we move the 1yo to the convertible (she's in the infant seat now), we may move her behind passenger if the bigger seat impedes on my husband's comfort. I can move my seat up no problem.

We have a 4Runner with huge tires meant for off road and I'm 5'4" so DS (7weeks) is behind the driver seat because I cannot access the middle seat to lift the bucket out. Plus it's the small side of our fold down seats so we can still lower the other side for hardware store trips and long road trips for the dogs.

We have my RF toddler behind the passenger seat and my FF preschooler in the middle. I drive a Honda Pilot which has 3 sets of latch in the back seat but ever since we moved our daughter to the Britax Frontier we just do a seatbelt install. With the click tight bottom the seabelt install is quicker an easier and incredibly tight.

We have a 1 year old and a 2.5 year old, both rear facing. They used to be side by side in the captain's chairs, but recently I removed a captain's chair and put DS1 in the 3rd row behind DS2 when family visited and I think I'm going to keep it that way. Its easier to to throw DS1 in the car while I'm buckling DS2 in his seat and he can climb into his seat much easier on the 3rd row bench, whereas in the captains chair I had to lift him into his seat every time. I can easily hop in to buckle him in or go through the trunk.
If nothing else, I'm SUPER glad I moved the seats because it made me realize that my son is about 2lbs from the LATCH weight limit and would need to move to a seatbelt install soon anyway.
ETA: We have a Toyota Sienna minivan. DS2 is behind the passenger and DS1 is in the third row behind him and we have the captains chair behind the driver out.

DD1 was always in the middle until DD2 came along. Now DD1 is behind passenger side, and DD2 is in the middle. When DD2 goes into a convertible, she will go behind driver side.

DH's car: FF behind driver, RF in middle

Middle. There's no latch there in our car, so we used the seatbelt because the middle position is much safer than either side.

My 2 year old has always been in the middle seat. When August baby comes we will probably put her behind the passenger seat since her car seat is bigger and my husband is tall and the baby behind the drivers seat.

DD is rear facing on the passenger side in both vehicles. DH can't drive comfortably if she is behind the driver seat. We both drive each car so it just made sense.

We just rearranged to make room for our newest LO. Now we've got a newborn behind the driver, a 2.5 yr old RF behind the passenger and a 4.5 yr old newly FF in the third row passenger side. We have a Honda Odyssey and took the head rest off the captain's chair DD2 is in so that she and DD1 can see each other and chat. (They are both in Foonfs and sit up high.)

RF behind the drivers seat. We had her in the middle for a long time but the seat doesn't fit correctly in the middle of our new car (subaru outback). I'm hoping we will be able to fit a bucket seat in the middle when we have another baby.

3.5 years - FF - behind driver's seat. She was in the middle (RF), but we kept hitting her head. At 2.5, we turned her around because of motion sickness and said head hitting.

DS1 - 4.5 - FF in a high back booster with 5pt harness. Installed with the lap belt behind the passenger of both of our cars.
DS2 - 20 months - RF in a convertible - latch installed behind the driver in both cars.

@travelingnanny: that's a really good point. She's really close to that weight limit with the seat weight. Thanks.

I drive a mazda5, buckets seats in second row hold the car seats. Younger is behind me. Third row is tiny but I recently put a rf seat there for their cousin. However if we actually had a third I think I would put my oldest in the 3rd row with a seatbelt booster because she'd be 6 (still harnessed now).

Preschooler, RF middle seat with seatbelt install (used Latch in the middle seat until he was about 25 lbs).
Will probs move him FF at the end of summer, deciding whether to keep him in the middle or move him to Passenger's side.

2nd row: 2 RF babies in infant capsules (captain's chairs)
3rd row: 2 RF, 4 year old with a seat belt installation on the passenger side, 2.5 year old on the driver side with ISOfix (similar to latch). The middle seat is empty.

FFing preschooler behind the driver (seatbelt install because she's so heavy) and RFing toddler behind the passenger. We might move the preschooler back to the middle now that we feel more comfortable with the seatbelt install.

@sugarpea: what year is your Mazda3? Mine is a 2008 and doesn't have a middle LATCH option...just left and right seats.
