We have the Ikea Docksta, and after a year of use it has so many chips. I really love the ones from Design Within Reach, but may get one from West Elm that's more affordable.
Where is yours from? Do you love it?

We just got a new one a few months back since our old one was passed down to us and it needed help...to put it nicely. We got ours from Art Van, it's gathering height and has 8 chairs...love it!

Ours was handmade by a carpenter with the "farm house" style in mind. I actually want to replace it because some of the measurements (height) were off and bug me, like when taller guests pull their chair in their knees may hit the table.

We have an antique canning table that I'm in love with. Paired it with cream parsons chairs.
@Mrs. Taco: ours is an awkward height too, it's about 4" taller than standard tables. We're used to it now but guests still comment when they sit down

It is from Ashley Furniture paid for by our refund from our wedding cake that was leaning and missing our topper

@prettylizy: Maybe you can send 2" my way? We have parsons chairs too, tufted!

It's an antique that my parents shipped back from Europe. They gave it to us and chairs when we bought a 100 year old house.

It's a large mission / arts and crafts style handmade by the Amish or Mennonite (can't remember which) out of quarter sawn oak. We got it at a local furniture maker. I love it!

It's a midcentury modern dining set from Denmark. It was purchased by a couple who had it for 40 years. I love it. But I am also a sucker for anything midcentury.

It's from my parents' original set when they got married. I refinished it while in residency. I need new chairs though.

Antique pedestal table. It's a beautiful shape but I'd like something more modern now. Holding off until the kids are older though.

Antique that was my grandparents...my aunt and uncle had it after them and had it refinished for us as a wedding gift!

It's from a local Amish place, handed down from DH's parents. It's not really my style (a little too country), but it's really nicely made and it's not like I hate it. And it was free.

We have the PB Benchwright extending table with the matching chairs. It is beautiful in our formal dining room but we never use it. We use a smaller PB table that I got years ago with the seagrass chairs in our eat-in kitchen area, or our seagrass barstools at the island. It's ironic that I had to have that table or I'd die and we've literally used it less than ten times:)

It's an antique from my grandparents. It's quite simple (timeless?!) but well made and a really pretty mohagany. I love it for the sentimental aspect.

Formal dining table + chairs are from RH
Kitchen table is from RH, chairs are from design within reach (emeco chairs)

Ours is from Ikea. Its a nice small size and is unfinished, solid wood, so it doesn't have chips or anything.

The one in our kitchen is from ikea. It's been taking a beating lately since the kids do everything on there. Our dining table is from restoration hardware.

Our "dining" table is a coffee table that is height adjustable and opens to seat 8. It's from BoConcept and my favorite piece of furniture. It's great for small spaces because it is so functional!

Ikea. We got the drop leaf bamboo table not so long ago. Works great in our small space.

We just sold ours, so we currently don't have one. The old one was a Craigslist find (so no idea where it was originally from) that I loved, but it was bar height. The chairs were just too easy to tip over for it to make sense with a LO. We're looking for a new one now. We move a lot, and things always seem to get damaged, so we don't want anything expensive. But we haven't found a decent one that we like. It's driving me nuts actually, because I've been doing a lot of cookie decorating and I haven't got enough counter space to put them on! Maybe this thread will help us find something.

A garage sale from when we got our first apt together.... Still have it and desperately need a new one but totally waiting until the kids are a little older.

Craigslist. I'm a fan of cheap for something we so rarely use. As long as it's in the right style, I'm pretty good at making things look good.

I think it's from the military rent-to-buy scheme thing, when they give you temp furniture when you're moving. My parents got it when i was a baby, hehe.

DH made ours. Its out of rough hewn wood that was cut 70 years ago.

Ethan Allen. It's the Miller Farmhouse table, with the leaf that expands to seat 8.
Our kitchen table is vintage, probably from the 1950s. It belonged to my grandmother.

We have an antique hand me down table,l. The goal is to save up for an Amish dining room set.

Cb2 and i love it! Clear glass table on steel x-frame. It's looked great in all 3 of outr honmes it's been in!

West Elm and we really like it! Glass top so it's super easy to clean, but also a pain because a lil bit of dirty is super obvious.

It's an Ashley Signature table from a local massive furniture store. It's small since we only have a dining area right now and not an actual dining room.

Ours of from an antique store. It's a round table that seats 4, with three leaves that extend it to seat 8. It has six chairs with seat cushions that DH and I reupholstered. I like it but wish it were bigger. We had 10 adults and 3 babies for dinner last weekend and it was too crowded. I dream of a table for 12.

Passed down from my great-grandparents. My great-grandfather bought it during WWII in Japan and had it shipped back home. I've been gathering around that table with family my entire life, so even though it's totally not my style, I cherish it!

Ours is from Crate & Barrel (they don't have the exact one we have anymore, but it's similar to the Wolcott one on their site) and the chairs are from World Market.
Our kitchen table was a random $38 Target clearance find from years & years ago but it's seen better days. We have the Willa chairs from Crate & Barrel in the kitchen & love them!

Raymour & Flanigan (sp)
We managed to find a chunky solid wood table that still looks modern. DH was bent on finding a really good quality dining table that can last for years to come. He hated anything that might be flimsy!
