LO is almost 18 months old and has shown some very naughty behaviour/tantrumy attitude and I'm trying to figure out where her time-out spot will be.

We do the bottom step of the stairs. That way he can see very little. The only problem now is if he's crying, it's right downstairs from LMW's room so if she's napping he wakes her up. Ugh.

We put him wherever we can. Though, we like the spot next to the TV the most right now. If he does something like hits we just sit him next to the closest wall that is distractionless.

We use the recliner in our living room and make DD sit straight with legs out and hands on knees. It isn't a good spot in regards to distractions (she's looking right at the TV) but making her sit straight and keep hands on legs seems to do the trick in keeping her focused on her being in trouble. If we are out and need to do a timeout we just use whatever chair we have available with the sit up/hands on knees thing.

For me growing up it was the bottom of the stairs and we will probably do the same for M when she gets old enough.
