Thinking of taking a family vacation to Florida during Memorial Day weekend but not really sure where! I've only been to Orlando and Miami. Is Miami too rowdy for 16 month old? We mainly want to just relax and hang out by pool and beach. Any suggestions??

Destin in the panhandle. Gorgeous beaches!

Destin or Navarre Beach ... Both have pretty beaches with lots of good seafood to eat.

Destin, specifically Seaside area, is absolutely beautiful and very low-key. If you want kid friendly activities (small interactive aquarium, pirate cruise, etc.) and close access to stores, then definitely Panama City. If you want to bring pets, look at Cape San Blas area. All three areas have gorgeous beaches!

Delray beach! I lived there for 3 years. Great food. Beautiful beaches. Family friendly.

We were thinking about soon the same but are now leaning towards staying more local (new England) ... Anyway we had done a lot of research about Captiva and Sanibel islands and they seem like a great destination with a toddler!
