Or similar piece of exercise equipment? Have thought about Craig's list but worried about if breaking down immediately and having no recourse.

I bought my elliptical directly from the manufacturer - the logistics of getting it into my home and assembled would have been so difficult otherwise. dick's sporting goods sold machines at a similar price; I didn't buy from them because delivery took two weeks longer

I got mine at a sporting good store on a memorial day sale, and found a 25% off coupon to use online on top of it. It was originally 400 something and we got it for 200.
