I'm shopping for a convertible and decided on a Britax after reading all the great reviews. I'm not sure which one to gt though...leaning towards the Advocate but wondering if the extra bells and whistles are worth it?

I debated a lot as well before choosing the Britax Boulevard. It had the extra side impact, but wasn't as wide as the advocate which was a concern in my smaller sedan. I love the Boulevard. It's a bit heavier and can be a bit tough to get DS in and out of since the seat has to go behind the drivers side, instead of in the middle. But I feel that DS is safe in it, it's easy to install, and aside from the goldfish crackers, still looks like new after 1 year of use. (DS is 19 months old and 99% for height and weight).

Im doing either the Marathon or the Boulevard. I hate how massive the more expensive models are.

I just purchased the Marathon. Don't have it installed yet, but my LO seems to like it on the floor.

I think Target has the classic marathon on sale today for $150.

We went with the Boulevard.
I've heard the advocate is only really good if you have a toddler that would be sitting next to the car seat.

We have the Britax Boulevard 70 G3 for DS2 and we ADORE it! He looks so comfortable, it doesn't seem to get as hot as our per car seat (a major issue to deal with in FL), and it is incredibly easy to install. Most importantly, it has all the safety features one could want, including the new HUGS chest pad system.
My only complaint is with the tether, which I cannot seem to get installed properly and also get DS2 in and out of. Perhaps it has to do with where the tether anchors are in our car, but no matter where we put the tether I cannot get DS2 in his car seat!
We've learned to work around it, but despite that issue, I would still recommend this seat to anyone. We are even planning on replacing DS1's perfectly fine set with this one because I just feel it is safer.

We have the Marathon but we didn't really look into the other styles. We love the Marathon though. $150 s a steal! You can't find it here in Canada (even an older model) for less than $200.

We have a classic Marathon, Marathon 70, and a Boulevard. I am happy with all of them. I know there are a lot of new models since I have purchased mine but they are still going strong through 2 kids. I would say that Mararthon is the classic and especially good for more compact cars. I have also graduated DD to a Frontier 85 SICT harness booster and handed down her convertibles to her brother. So I am a huge Britax fan.
@Katm558: is your LO rearfacing? What tether method are you using? We use the Swedish method and if you use that method, there is no issue getting LO in and out of seat.
