My DD had never watched it but I was tired of the same shows so I tried it out. She loved it! But I had no idea there was a potty training episode til a friend told me and I swear it flipped the switch. She had been struggling to actually go in the potty and all of a sudden, boom. Pee trained. Probably a coincidence but whatever

Sharing! "First you take a turn, then you get it back". She still doesn't LIKE sharing but she understands that she has to do now.
Runner up would be "you gotta try new foods cause they might taste good!" I still remind her that Daniel would be sad if she doesn't taste xyz.

Yes, definitely the potty episode! It was, legit, on repeat while we were potty training.
"When you gotta go potty, stop! And go right away! Flush, and wash, and be on your way!". Over a year later and she still sings the song while going potty. LOL

The potty training episode. I told daycare about it so they would know what she was saying if she tried to sing the little song. Now all the kids there sing the song too.
LO also repeats the sharing mantra whenever she has to share so that one clearly made an impact too.

Oh man, it’s hard to pick. There are so many episodes that have been helpful for LO! I think the most helpful one was the one about how parents/grownups always come back. LO has rough transitions into new classrooms at school, and that little “grownups always come back” mantra helped her so much. Also, the frustration one recently has been a constant helper in our house. Instead of getting angry and screaming, she’ll actually take a deep breath and count to 4 and ask for help. Game changer!

Lately we've been watching the one with the new baby, and talking about how when baby sister comes home sometimes mommy and daddy will need to take care of her first because she's really little and can't do things by herself, not like him, beause he's a big boy...

Grown ups come back and there's one where one of the characters, I think O the owl, is building with blocks and they keep falling down. He gets really upset so Daniel tells him to "try try try again." We use that a lot and LO says "like Daniel tiger?"

I personally love the try new foods show. When DD doesn't want to eat something, we sing that little tune, and she always tries it. -
If you have to go potty stop and go right away... Flush and wash and be on your way! I sing that all the time, and it definitely helped. The sharing episode has helped, too!

I was going batty with the CONSTANT same song throughout the episode (bubble guppies is way more catchy!!) but I think it's great for that age group because they need repetition!

Grown ups come back. I'm not really a DT fan, because I think it creates problems when dd sees episodes about problems she didn't previously have, but that one was good for starting preschool.

@sorrycharlie: the sharing episode is in season 1 "Daniel shares his tiger tastic car". LO loves that episode and we always sing the little song about cars and trucks that they sing during the "pretend" part.
We sing a lot of the little songs and I feel like they help LO a lot. This week we are watching the episodes about the doctors office because he has a few check ups coming up!

Grownups come back is a big one in our house. While we were potty training, the potty one was helpful because he sang it and still does sometimes. The baby books were also helpful before LO #2 arrived.

The one where Daniel goes to school for the first time. We showed that one to her and she started to look forward to starting her school.

How old are/were your LOs that got into the show? I'd love to get Ruby to watch more of it, especially around things like potty training, but she goes for Super Why every time, DT just doesn't seem to hold her attention. She's just shy of 2.5.

The potty one helped a lot as well as the Good Morning/Good Night, Daniel one. Now in the morning or before bed, we can sing the song to get him moving on to the next task.
Clothes on, eat breakfast, brush teeth, put on shoes and off to school
Bath time, pj's, brush teeth, story and a song and off to bed

So many! Recently we've loved the baby Margaret episodes, but also sing "Stomp Three Times", "Take a Deep Breath", etc. a LOT.

Daniel Gets Mad ("when you feel so mad that you want to roar, take a deep breath and count to 4"). When my son turned 3 he was having some serious tantrums when he got upset so that was REALLY helpful to use to help him calm down. I was getting a little upset parallel parking this morning & he reminded me to count to 4!

Potty, going to school, grown ups come back, and sharing. My LO sings me the song about taking turns when she wants to borrow something of mine.
The problem is that she now wants a baby sister and has started drawing this sister in pictures! Thanks DT!

So much! I would say the #1 is "First you take a turn, then I get it back." LO says that to herself under her breath pretty much any time we are playing with other kids.
Close second would be, "If you feel so mad that you want to roar, take a deep breath, and count to four." LO does the whole thing exactly like Daniel and it works a lot of the time!
The potty training episode is great, too, and LO is always saying, "Stop and go right away!" But I feel like she would have done well with potty training without it. The other two really have been game changers. I love Daniel Tiger so much.

I don't know if they've helped her yet, but she loves the app-we put Daniel to bed almost every night before she does. But she loves the show and requests "Ti-gah" every day!
