For less-minor rashes we use Boudreauxs or Desitin. LO had a yeast infection so we're currently using Boudreauxs in conjunction with a prescription cream.

For mild rashes we use Angel Baby Bottom Balm or whatever it's called.

@Bao: Not obvious to me, lol. He had an...open sore? Almost looked like a blister after it popped? Sort of cratered? It remained stubbornly unchanged for days. We went through the list of things the pedi's RN had told us to do last time he had a rash (lots of diaper-free time, diaper cream, baking soda in the tub, wet wash clothes instead of diaper wipes...) but nothing changed it at all--not worse, but nothing had an effect. Then the rest of his bum started looking...raw? Almost like carpet burn. So I called the pedi's office wanting to know what else to do, and since I'd done everything they'd have first recommended I try they had me bring him in to look at it and his pedi diagnosed it. I had no idea that's what it was, so I'm really no help!

Destin or Aquaphor(sp?) but tonight is the 2nd night of triple paste. I think after one night I like it better.

@Bao: I hope they're useful! I find the sitz baths to be SO helpful and soothing and in my experience they really cut down the healing time for the rash (yeast or otherwise).

Triple paste for the really bad rashes, but for just a little redness and normal barrier cream we use CJ's Butter (so many different scents, soooo yummy smelling!)

Coconut oil. When he gets a real rash, he gets a bath with baking soda. That usually helps clear things up quickly.

Grandma El's was the only with that worked for us when DS was little.
