My eyebrows! Every time I get my makeup done, they look sooooo much better. I really need to take a lesson!
I'd also love to learn how to contour.
What about you?

Same? I don't wear anything in my brows! I did once (professionally) for a wedding and felt like a clown.
I have a tough time with lipstick. I have never found te perfect flattering color.

My eyes! I can do a basic eye liner and that's about it. I don't know how to line the bottom lid, nor apply mascara to the bottom lashes! I also rarely wear eye shadow (okay, never) b/c I have the Asian mono lids!

I struggle with my under-eye dark circles. I've always had them and used to use thick cream concealer but now I'm that bit older the thick concealer gets stuck in my eye wrinkles and makes me look even older.

Eyes. I don't know how to apply eye liner or shadow. I just kind of smear stuff around and hope for the best. It's tragic. My mom doesn't wear makeup...so I guess I was never taught? How do you learn this stuff? I watch videos but it makes no sense and I never have the right tools

Most of it. Eyeliner and any kind of foundation. How do you get it to blend in and find the perfect shade?

Eyes! I want to wear fun colors but everything looks muddy on me when I apply it myself. Maybe I have the wrong brushes and crappy technique.

Eyeliner - more often than not I have to wash my face and start over. I also have this weird hatred of anything sparkly under my eyes, so if I notice any eyeshadow fell under my eyes I end up completely redoing.
I also have trouble with properly applying cover-up if I have a break-out. I don't think I was ever really taught this and sometimes I think I over do it and I end up looking like I'm covering something a lot more grotesque than a tiny zit.

Eyeliner, I try and try and I always feel like it's too much.

Eyes. Eyeshadow, specifically. It just looks....clown-like. I stick to neutrals and simplicity for this reason.

My lips. I always feel like a child playing dress up when I try to wear lipstick.

My eyeliner. I don't know what it is but I just can't get both eyes to look the same. Liquid or pencil, it just looks messy.

@Cherrybee: ditto! I hate my under eye circles! I don't know if you can find it, but I have been using these two products and I think they're helping!

Concealer and eyeshadow. I can never get the concealer to actual hide what I want to hide and I have no clue how to put on eyeshadow so I just skip it!

@CupQuakeWalk: same.
I tried wearing eyeshadow for the first time in a loooong time yesterday and I remembered why I quit wearing it.

Eyebrows, sometimes they feel cartoonish to me. Also, I have issues with symmetry.

Anything outside my normal regular makeup. I have some no fail colors when I do wear makeup, but if I need anything more dramatic, I won't be able to pull it off.

ummm everything? I'm really no good at makeup.
I just want to take some lessons and figure out what I need product-wise and how to do it. I'd really like to learn how to do foundation/contour/bronzing the most.

@sunny: @snowjewelz: i have a monolid too! i just use a lot of eyeliner and i love to do smokey eyes when going out at night.
i also looooove false eyelashes but only wear them for weddings or special events. the individual ones look so natural! i want eyelash extensions...

I have trouble with concealer/foundation. I mean, I can do it but its not my favorite thing. I have a lot of imperfections to hide, and its hard to strike a balance between looking natural and covering up.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs. Bee: I have watched a ton of YouTube videos about creating a nice smokey eye for monolids... It's just so much work to me
I do love it tho.. I had fake lashes and fake double lid done on my wedding and I didn't want to wash the make up off!

Eyeliner. I can never get it right but I think it's also because I use the wrong techniques for my eye shape.

Contour! Every time I try to apply blush it just doesn't look quite right.

@Cherrybee: I have the same problem! I also have a weird pink undertone to my skin, so a lot of concealer look to olive on me.

@Happygal: I typically buy two shades of the same foundation and blend them together (on the back of my hand each morning) for a better color match.

@MsLipGloss: good to know! Do you use one of those egg shaped sponge applicators that are so popular right now?
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@Happygal: I do actually. :). I tend to smooosh/stipple it in to my skin around the center of my face (my nose, cheeks, and chin), and then do less coverage toward my jawline (on my cheeks/toward ears). It looks really good, and it is so easy to build up coverage in areas if you need to. But you can also use a regular sponge in the same way. It's just easier to do with the beauty blender sponge.

I'm good with eyeliner except on the lower lid. I haven't figured out a way to do it without looking way overdone.
