My niece is turning 1 in a few weeks, and I want to get her a pair of Uggs for her birthday. Which of these do you like better? The hot pink or the light pink?

I like the darker pink! The light pink will probably show more dirt! Both are super cute.

love the hot pink! and I'm with @autumnlove, they won't get as dirty and I feel like they would be more water resistant (might not be true).

@autumnlove: @rachiecakes: I didn't even think about the lighter ones showing dirt...this is why I need mommies to weigh in! Thanks!!

i like the light pink better, but agree with the PPs that the hot pink will last much longer and look cleaner!

I am SOOOO over pink shoes because they don't match ANYTHING. Even with a pink outfit the shades of pink are always different. I have found that lighter shades of pink seem to coordinate better than hot pink.

Hot pink!!! But only because I've never been a fan of lighter pink. I also think any little girl would appreciate a little bit of sparkle :).

@mrsjyw: That's my dilemma...I like the look of the light pink better but do agree that the hot pink might be more practical. Ugh. #firstworldproblems

I'm not a pink fan, but of the two, I prefer the lighter one. They're not as loud and probably match more outfits.

I voted for the hot pink only because the light one will get dirty quick. Both are cute though!

I love the hot pink! But I think the light ones would go with more. Uggs aren't hard to clean so that might not be a big deal.

I think the hot pink will hold up better! I bought Harper the pink baby Uggs in the light pink (the Erin style) and hopefully she'll be able to wear them SOME. But when I shopped around and looked on ebay, I saw a lot of the light pink Uggs used and even the ones with minimal wear, it still showed up as fairly noticeable. So I think light pink is okay for LOs that are not moving around in them, but for a 1 year old who may be walking soon or is all over the floor in them, I'd say the dark pink is a better buy! Both are freakin' adorable!
Just for fun- these are the ones I got H and I hope she can wear them for her newborn photos!

@PrincessBaby: Those are the ones I wanted to get for my niece! But the reviews said they weren't good for walkers because they don't have hard soles

I love the light pink ones but have seen many of those get really yucky and dirty.

I would say light pink since they are more versatile but I agree with @T-Mom on the dirty part.

Whichever you choose, just order them on the bigger side- they grow so quickly! Are the darker ones sparkly? I love sparkles!

i LOVE the light pink ones! lil' CB has tan uggs and they're so cute!
@lawbee11: a suggestion, though...if you're niece is 1 and close to walking, i'd size up and get her these in the smallest toddler size: http://www.uggaustralia.com/toddlers-classic-cute-winter-boots/5251T,default,pd.html?dwvar_5251T_color=BPNK&start=3&cgid=kids-little-kids-boots
we got lil' CB's 2 sizes up last winter so he could wear them with thick socks while the fur was still especially fluffy, and this season, he can wear them with regular socks now that the fur has been smushed down a bit. they're pricier in the toddler sizes, but with the suede protector spray, they really last multiple seasons!

@Mrs. Cowgirl: I actually love those! I emailed my SIL to see what size shoe she wears. The only thing I am worried about with the ones you posted is that my niece is super tiny (like in the 5th percentile) so I am worried those would be huge on her for a really long time (even at the smallest size). I will wait and see what my SIL says and then decide...but thanks for the link!

I voted for light pink. I think they would match with more clothing items than the dark pink.
