I am looking to get DD a play kitchen for Christmas. I have found a great deal on a Kidcraft so am thinking I will get that but some of the ones that make noises look pretty fun. What kind do you have and does LO like it?

I don't have one but I'm draw to this step 2 kitchen/market combo - I think it will be great for both kids to play with at the same time and we have the space for it.

We have this one. We got a crazy deal on it on Kids Woot. DD loves it and its big enough for her to use for a long time. It's also really sturdy.

@Mrsjets: This looks great but we don't have the room! I love that it makes noises though.
@loveisstrange: I am looking at the smaller version of this one. Does DD play with it a lot?

@AprilFool: we have a Hape and it has a pretty small footprint which is nice if you're tight for space!

I have the same one as @yoursilverlining: only in pink. My LO plays with it everyday. She especially likes storing her stuffed animals in the refrigerator.
It's a bear to put together and for some reason our doors didn't stay shut. We put Velcro strips on the inside to fix that.
In unrelated news @yoursilverlining: I'm so curious about the conversation she's having. Her eyes make me think there's some drama brewing.

We have the vintage KidKraft in the light blue/turquoise color. It's much better quality than I expected!

@AprilFool: we have the same one as @loveisstrange: but ours is pink and birch. Chloe plays with it every day and had since she was 14 months.
It fits in her bedroom and isn't that large!

We have the kidcraft corner kitchen in red. The quality is great and LO loves it. I was actually looking for kitchens that didn't make noise! It amazed me how quickly she took to it, mimicking everything I do in the kitchen. She loves banging the pots and pans and opening and closing the doors and the stove knobs make a nice clicking noise just like a gas stove. I've certainly never missed electronic noise and I don't think she has.

@AprilFool: she plays with it a lot. I really like the espresso color scheme too. It's very chic and modern looking. We were joking as we were putting it together that her kitchen is nicer than our real kitchen.

DS has the KidKraft Uptown Kitchen in Espresso, he loves it. I think its adorable when he puts his water cup in the refrigerator. We keep it in the living room and it is indeed nicer than our real kitchen.

@Weagle: we have the same one! It took forever for DH to put together but we love how it looks and LO loves playing with it!

@katsupgirl: she calls "hello, Micky Mouse? Hello Elmo? Hello grandpa?" Haha
Definitely agree with you that it's a bit of a bear to put together - it took me a week to get it all finished, so probably about 8 hours total?
