You don't need nearly as much as the box recommends.
I used Country Save, too. Both detergents worked well in the ancient, low-end washing machines we had in our apartments!

Yes to the Ultra Tide Powder. No brighteners (free and clear stuff) or fabric softener. Use half of the recommended amount. I have the smallest box they make and it has lasted me 6 months....and I have barely made a dent in it. SO much cheaper than the cloth diaper detergents, and I have never had an issue.

Yep - Tide Ultra powder! I only use 1/2 the scoop for a load of diapers.
