We're on vacation this week and don't have our normal "tools" for helping M sleep. She has a pack n play here but none of the vibrating or swinging things we have at home. She fell asleep on my MIL after her bottle so we moved her to the pnp. She was kicking and fussing until we turned on the white noise app. Instant sleeping bay. What??? It's a miracle!
When we get home, I'm totally investing in a white noise machine.

We use one and sometimes I worry about making her dependent on the sound to sleep, but honestly I think it's great! It's so helpful in our tiny apartment - especially when she goes to sleep at 7pm and we're still up and about for quite a while after that.

We use one on vacation and when we have loud friends over after she has gone to sleep. I just downloaded the white noise app on an old ipod touch that I had. Much cheaper than a white noise machine

We have been using the sleep sheep ever since my LO came home from the hospital. I don't know why I didn't think of bringing it with me at the hospital. He zonked out as soon as we turned on the sleep sheep. Now he is old enough to turn it on himself before bed. It's part of his sleep routine.

I have a question for all you white noise lovers.
DS has become a good sleeper. But, sometimes if I'm cleaning or doing laundry, it wakes him up. Would it be worth it to invest in a white noise machine when he's already 6 months old?

We've been using white noise from the very beginning! At first we used the gentle giraffe (like the sleep sheep) and I was tired of restarting it every 45 minutes so we started using the white noise app on an old iPhone. We play it for every nap and all night. It doesn't help LO fall asleep at all, it just helps us not be worried about making too much noise and having to tiptoe around the house.
We spent a week at a cottage with a screaming toddler and LO never woke up due to environmental noise!
