I've seen a lot of references to moms being your best friend... and the same for husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/wives.
So I thought I'd ask who is your best friend! Or to narrow the definition a bit... who are you closer to emotionally: your mom or your SO?

My husband, I think. I can complain and cry about things to my husband that I know my mother wouldn't understand without being critical or judgmental. I think also because DH is a little bit more open-minded.

Husband! I tell both just about the same "amount" of everything but DH is definitely the one that I feel gets me the most. If there's only one person I'm allowed to tell its gonna be DH.

I'd say both, but in different ways. There are things I would never tell my mother but there are also things I'd tell her that I know DH wouldn't care about.
I value them both and think they're both really important in my life. I don't think I'm closer to one than the other.

My DW, not that it is a hard competition. I know that even if I was close to my mom my DW would still take the lead. I know this because she is my all around BF.

Husband. I love my mom and we are very close, but at the risk of sounding super cheesey, DH is my partner in life.
It's a closer contest between DH and my big sister, but DH still wins. That was actually a weird one to realize.

My husband. We are just...best friends. But my mom is a close second....I would say I love them both so so much! Equally but differently.
