I'm nursing 3X/day at 8.5 months, and he gets one or two bottles of formula. He was EBF til 6 months. Plan to stop at a year, if not sooner. Still going now mostly because we're flying long haul over the christmas break and I don't want to have to bother with too much formula.

Still BF my DD, who turned 1 yesterday!
We started WCM a week ago and I hope to fully wean in the next 2 months or so.

I EP'ed my first for a year, and I'm currently breastfeeding my 1 year old. We still breastfeed 5x a day, and I'll take his lead when he is ready to wean. I'm on a restricted diet due to his food allergies so I'll be celebrating a little when he is done.

I BF until DD turned 13 months and by then it was the right time to stop for both of us.

I EBF for exactly nine months and then the doctor had us supplement because his weight is really really low. Supplementing turned into EFF pretty quickly. I miss it so bad.

@littleblessings: not a single tooth! I am getting a bit worried. But I've been gummed a lot!

@littleblessings: We dropped to two a day at 12 months when I stopped pumping and H started sleeping through the night.

Still EBF + two meals of solids per day for my nearly 10 month old DD2. DD1 was EBF (+ solids) until 13 months, I plan to stop around the same time with DD2.

@littleblessings: I am coming up on the 8-year mark in about a month. It is a long time. I hadn't really thought about it that much until last night. Ha ha.
How often Lorelei nurses depends on the day. Most of the time if we are out and doing something fun, she will not nurse at all until we're home (or at least in the car getting ready to go home). So on a busy day, I would say 3 times (not including a couple during the night as we still bedshare). On slower days she nurses maybe 5-8 times? I guess my peace with extended nursing is that I try to not refuse, but starting around age two have gently explained and enforced some limits (like if we're in public my shirt has to be covering my breast so it's more private, we will try to find a quiet place, she can do toddler nursing acrobatics; if we're at home, if I feel tapped-out I might tell her something like, "We can nurse for one more story. Then let's get up and see what's for breakfast!"). I haven't encountered too much pushback on those: she is generally very respectful.

I breast fed for 17 months. I wish I had cut it off sooner for my own sanity.

I breast fed for 13 months. We were both ready to wean!

@twodoghouse: very similar here except I only have one.
We nurse when together but really I think it's mostly so he can fall asleep. He is 7 months old. I have low supply so I pump what I can and the rest is formula.

Still breastfeeding my 22 month old! Planning to let her self wean.

Nursing at 25 months although during the week it is just bedtime and then on the weekends it is nap and bedtime. It will be interesting to see how this pregancy goes. I am not sure that I want to tandem a 3yo and newborn...

Just want to say that I love this thread and you all are seriously inspiring. I would be over the moon if we could make it to 12 months. But I'll probably go back to work when LO is around 6 months old so it's possible I could run into a supply drop at that point.

I only got to EBF for 2 weeks. We then had to supplement, but I am still nursing (comfort nursing, mostly) at 11 months.

@nana87: I have low supply too ... I wish I could EBF, but I am kind of thankful for the empathy it's taught me. Being gentle with yourself & other moms.

You are all amazing. Especially those that have made it past a year. I'm not sure I'll make it that far. I'm extremely proud of all of you. Even the ones no longer nursing but tried! I think I'm gonna let DS self wean. Hopefully before I get a job again. If he isn't weaned by then I now know that weaning isn't all that bad. When it comes to teeth I'm still scared but I'm sure I'll live getting bit once or so. Thank you all for responding. I'm overjoyed with all the responses!

@littleblessings: I don't think I will tandem feed, although DS shows no signs of slowing down yet!
