This thread is too funny. My bestie in law school set me up with her boity calls best friend in business school next door to the law school. Whenever he tried to meet me i wouldve already left the party by the time he showed up because im lame like that. Finally she asked could she give my number and i said i guess so. Rest is 4years of history! Oh, law school bestie and the booty call broke it off within two weeks, but he was the best man in our wedding.

I was sharing a house with his BFF from like junior high. He decided he needed a fresh start in a new city, we had a spare bedroom, he moved in. We were both fairly recently off of bad breakups and were both lonely...got drunk and had sex. And then just didn't stop

Grad school sweetheart! We met at a picnic at the start of the semester. While I had zero desire to know who he was at first, and his pick up line was awful ("have you tried this soda before? - ha!), we ended up at a bar talking all night.

I met my DH because of his parents. They had moved to my city during his college years and when he came home for a break, he was lonely as he had no friends in the area. His parents had met me and thought we could be friends. He added me on Facebook and asked me to coffee and six months later we were dating.
A year after that we got married.eta - I was also technically a rebound for him as he'd just gone through a breakup right before Christmas break! Of course, he didn't let me know that for a long time

I was good friends with B's younger brother and we first "officially" met when I was over at his parents' house to hang out and the 3 of us watched the spelling bee on ESPN. His younger brother broke his phone that same week and was using B's for a time, which is how I got his number and we started talking. We dated a little bit that summer but then I went to college and B, 8 years older than me, moved to Arizona. He moved back to our hometown my junior year of college and I dumped my college BF to date him. There was just always something there, even through all that time and distance, that told both of us we were supposed to be together.

He dated my friend very briefly way back in 2004. ( it's not as bad as it sounds, well I don't think at least.. ) They dated for less than 3 months. The first time she introduced us we both commented on how we thought we had met previously. We're (still) sure we had never met. Him and I ran into each other every few months after they broke up and he kept trying to get my number. I always told him no as I didn't think it was right as he dated my friend. Then one night I ran into him at the bar and I just couldn't resist anymore. It didn't bother my friend that we got together, we're still friends, everyone is cool haha. We've been married for a year and a half and have a baby so it's all good.
