Thinking about State Farm. My ILs have been with them for over 30 years!

Farmers. We got better rates when DH was with State Farm, but they were always changing & after having experience with both handling an accident I just can't leave my insurance agent with Farmers. We were much better taken care of through them!
My mom & grandmother is with them & have multiple homes, cars, and life insurance policies through them!

USAA but you have to have either your parent or spouse in the military to get it.

@mediagirl: oh I didn't know parent works too!!! My FIL is retired Army. Hm. How does that work then? Is it much better pricing than all the other big name carriers?

I currently have AllState and like it. I previously had Farmers, but only left them because their rates were higher for the same amount of coverage.

@regberadaisy: it's so much better than any other service we have ever used. Heck yeah, get the FIL hook-up! We got ours through my FIL.

DH and I have auto insurance through Geico and our home is insured by Security First. Because we live in Florida (hurricane central) and our home was built in 1950, the big guys like Allstate and State Farm won't touch us with a 10-ft pole

We have Nationwide. We might be switching companies, but they gave us the best rate when we bought our house (our auto is through them as well).
