My baby armatures average (7lb6oz) but quickly progressed to 85% and has been there since. She has hit most of milestones early (crawled at 7 mo, cruised at 8 mo, walking by 10.5, can walk backwards and climb down stairs at 13 mo).

Big baby here! (Raises arm reluctantly since it hurts from shoulder injury of carrying said baby!)

Born 7 lbs 9 oz, lost a bit over 10% down to 6lbs 12oz.
15 lbs by 2 mo
20 lbs by 4 mo
25 lbs by 6 mo
30 lbs at 1 year

Now at 15m he's 31 lbs. 99%ile for everything. My husband is sort of stocky but not super tall, and I am 5'7''. He crawled at 6m and walked by 12.5m. He nursed super well and often! My husband hurt his wrist rocking him when I went back to work and I hurt my shoulder and got a couple sessions of PT. but he's definitely getting a bit more lean now that he runs and climbs on everything. He's just a really big guy!

@mauxie: he totally does! It's funny st the park though cause he looks like a preschooler but he has the chubby hands and feet and wonky toddler run. I rememeber exactly you what you say about the head control!

Both of my girls are big. They were born normal'ish, each under 8lbs, but they grew quick! At 6 months they were each right around 20lbs. My now 4.5 year old is over 50lbs and my 17 month old was 30lbs at her 15 month well check.

My second one was quicker on the physical milestones with walking at 10 months. The older one walked between 12-13 months.

My pediatrician told me to expect both of them to be on the "late" side of the ranges for physical items because they just had more mass to move and heavier heads to hold up.

My DS has always been high in the percentiles for height and weight. He started to slow down in growth a little (meaning he'd last a season in a clothing size) at around 18 months. He started to slim down between age 2 and 2.5. I see more muscle definition now than baby fat, and his tummy is no longer pudge. He is still super solid, strong, and tall at 2.5 (96% in height & 88% weight).

He's always been agile and reached his milestones on time. He walked a bit early imo at 10 months. Babies all are different, but will all eventually reach their milestones!

My DH is very muscular, but average height. I'm 5'9" though and have lots of tall people in the family gene pool. Who knows how DS will turn out?

@junebugsmama: I have a friend whose baby was 30lbs by 6 months (no joke!) and then didn't gain weight for over a year. Just stretched out. He is now 7 and suuuuuuper tall. Looks like. 10 year old.

I have a barely 3y old (as in 36m) who can easily pass for 5. He's 40/40, so 40in and 40lbs. He was around 26lbs at around 9 months. He then slimmed down once he was moving more and was 25lbs at his 1y appointment (and 32"). (36" and around 34lbs at 2y). At birth he was an average 8lbs 7oz and a long 22.75 inch.
My second is polar opposite, she's only around 20 lbs at 15m.

I have a little teapot baby... short and stout! She's less than 5% for height but 90% for height vs. weight. She is hitting her gross motor milestones right on time if not a tad early. I think her big belly helped her hit sitting up.

My daughter was 9lbs even at birth. She's consistently been in the 95-99th percentile in height and usually around the 80-85th percentile in weight.

I feel like she's hit her milestones on the later side of average. She started rolling at 3 months, but it took her a while to be consistent. She started sitting unsupported at 6 months. She got her first tooth and started crawling at 8 months.
