DS went to the dr today for his 1 year appt and is only 18 lbs 3 oz. He has always been tiny! I think he was around 28 inches. 10th percentile. I kind of love how he is still my tiny baby!

My dd was the same.... Super duper tiny. 18months and just hit 20lbs

P is totally petite! She is probably around 20lb now at 16.5 mths but may not be yet... She was 18.4 at 15 mths (finally over the 10th % from 5.5). She was 27.5" at 12 mths, can't remember what she was at 15.

My DD just jumped from the 20th to the 30th percentile for weight, but she's still small (13.5 lbs at four months). I met an eight week old today who was the same size as her!

@matador84: My LO had her 12 month checkup on Tuesday . . . she was 18lbs 14oz, and 28 inches tall. (Her head was 45 cm).
ETA: I love that she is small . . . her not having any teeth yet only adds to her still being my *baby*.

My little A is teeny tiny. She's tall but very petite. 10 months old and weighing 16.15lb - we've gotten a ton of wear out of her littlebbaby clothes.

Same here! J has always averaged 5-10tg percentile. I think at one year he was 19 lbs?? He is 18 months and 23 or 24 lbs.

A has always been small. She was 16lbs at her 9 month appointment so I'm interested to see what she is at her 12 month appointment. She's always around the 10-15th percentile.

A is only 16 lbs 8 oz at 9 months (21%). At storytime today she looked so tiny compared to the two 10 month old babies there.

I think DS is the smallest baby ever. He has his 12 month appointment on Monday and I expect him to be just over 17 lbs! Like 0 percentile. He just wants to run around and hates eating. I have no idea how to get him to gain weight.

@MsLipGloss: AWWW! Still gummy? I am jealous! My little stinker cut his 8th dang tooth this week!
Love little babies! DS is still wearing a lot of 3-6 month, and some 9 month--most are too big!

My 40 month old is 35 inches and 25 lbs. less than 10% for height and less than second percent for weight. Tiniest tiny!

At 8 months S was still under 14 lbs...we'll see where she is next week at her 9 month!

@matador84: Other than a little drool rash and some ear tugging, no signs of any teeth yet! I shouldn't be too surprised, I got all of my teeth late too.

@Bao: Whenever I see your A in photos she always reminds me of my A with her petite build and lots of dark hair. She's very cute

@travelgirl1: A is such a darling. Her height definitely throws me off. L was 17# at four months....she keeps lead in her thighs.

@matador84: my little man is on the smaller side. He was born at 4.5 pounds and didn't get on the charts for awhile. He is currently 50% for height, weight and HC.

@Mrs. Jacks: I keep hearing about and seeing children obesity on the rise so I guess being tiny is good.

@oliviaoblivia: I think 15lbs of A's 16 are in her thighs, lol - girl has some chub going on in the leg department. L has perfect proportion (and totally rocks her outfits)

@matador84: She ranges. We just recently passed the 18 month clothes to her sister (like directly, it came out of the wash from Lala and went straight onto the Moodle). She's fine in a lot of 2s and 3s are definitely big (unless you buy Oilily, which fits her great but is way too expensive to buy except for a special occasion.) I guess European sizing is closer to the way she's built.
I didn't hit 30 lbs until 3rd grade, and I'm a normal size now, so I'm not too worried about her. She has constitutional growth delay.

my babe's in the 25th percentile, so a bit small for his age and i do love it. He got me worried for a while because he dropped in percentiles at one point but his doc says it's all good as long as he is healthy and he is. I love watching his tiny body crawl around, cutest thing ever!

M is itty bitty. It's funny because I'm 5'10" and DH is 6'1". Neither of us are small people. I'm sure M will catch up but it was pretty funny watching us with a 5lb 4oz baby!

My little man is also little! He is 10.5 months and about 19lbs... @MsLipGloss: we only have one little bottom tooth that just poked through and it's so cute - I don't want him to get more teeth! Ha - totally agree no teeth = my baby still.

@Mrs. Jacks: that's about the size of my giant two year old. I know what you mean about clothes sizing. My niece just hit 30lbs in elementary school. Luckily we get her hand me down clothing and it fits relatively soon even though the girls are 5 years apart.

I needed this thread tonight! I was hoping D would be 15lbs at his appt today, but he was only 14. :(. He's 7.5 minth's adjusted and 11 months actual. But I guess he's come a long way since birth (1lb15oz). He's first percentile for weight, but around 5 or 10 for height and head. I didn't hit 30lbs until I was 3...

My DS has got to be the tiniest...he was 16lb 15oz at 1 yr...0% for height and weight. I'm also 4'10/90lbs and was never on the charts so I know where he gets it...

@chai728: If my DS is any bigger it's probably just by 1 or 2 ounces. We'll find out on Monday.

I got a mix! P is small for weight. 19 pounds at 1 year and tall for height 30 inches
pear / 1599 posts
I have a little one too. She was 14.4 lbs at her 6 month check up (5 months adjusted) 2nd percentile for weight, 50th for height at 26 inches. We go for 9 month check up next month.
