In your opinion which store has the best sales for Halloween candy? I'm not sure if a wholesale club will have the best price?
In years past our turnout at our current house sucks. But at the new house it's a much more young family neighborhood so I'm hoping/expecting a bigger turnout! I'm going to set a good precedent and be prepared!

Last year we nearly ran out of candy and had to start being stingy with it lol this time I plan to get some from costco

@Mrsbells: you are so lucky! I get so depressed with the miniscule turnout we get. Some families literally bypassed our house and I don't know why! I buy the good stuff, my light's turned on and I decorate. Sad face.

I think I am going to have to leave a bowl on my porch and hope for the best. I will be at my parents house eating chili while DH is out of town. Unfortunately we have a ton of kids in the neighborhood. Ugh I feel guilty just leaving a bowl.

Do you have a Big Lots? They have great deals on candy! It might not be in Halloween packaging, but it tastes the same!

@tororojo: Ya that is what I worry about. I hate that too. But I don't want to not put candy out. I guess I can set out an empty bowl and pretend like someone took it all lol. Or put a note on the door that I am at my parents house, and pass out double candy there.

Good post, we get a lot of kids here too! We're planning on going trick or treating with our LO but she's too little for candy so I think we'll just stick the candy in our candy bowl to give out, but that won't be enough.

i usually just buy it from the drugstore like duane reade/cvs. they usually have pretty good sales.
