Now that I'm a mom, I admire my parents, their strong marriage, and the way they live their lives. I didn't understand it when I was younger but I get it now. They sacrificed their own happiness for their kids.

My dad. He is such a hardworking guy. He took such good care of us. He has never raised his voice or yelled at any of us kids or my stepmom. He is just awesome.

My grandmother. She is an amazing woman. Her and my grandfather have been married for 55 years and they still have moments when they act like newlyweds. Its really precious. She is strong, independent, and an incredibly caring person. I've always been sort of a mini version of my grandmother (well, now I'm taller than her-- she's 4'9 and I'm 5') and I hope I can carry myself with the grace that she does as I grow older.
Cute story: My grandparents grew up in the 1930's/40's in a tiny rural town. My grandfather was 5 years older than my grandmother, but when she was 8 years old, she sat in his lap and said "I'm going to marry you one day." Of course, he laughed because at 13, an 8 year old is a baby. Well, they got married at 20 and 25 DH and I met in preschool, so I'm hoping we're on the right track.

My mom. She's amazing. I'm 30 years younger then her yet she has more way more energy then I do! And she's always willing to help. Lately she's been working all night long because she knows I'll need her help during the day. She even offers to take LO to work with her because I can't pick her up right now due to surgery. And she never ever complains about it or makes me feel guilty (even though I still do). I only hope I can be as good to my LO as she is to me.
