I like the Bale movies because of the writing and action, but Bale, meh. Best thing about that series of Batman movies was Heath Ledger as the Joker. Although I still like Jack Nicholson's Joker, too

I don't think I'll ever get over my crush on 1993-Val-Kilmer, so (embarrassingly) his Batman gets my vote for favorite, although I don't think he was the best.
I thought Christian Bale was pretty good, but too over the top with the character.
I think Ben Affleck is going to stink, big time. He's just too goofy. At least Christian Bale looks like a Bruce Wayne, Affleck - not so much!

I have to watch the ones with Keaton again to make a more informed choice, lol.
The newest trilogy is one of my all-time favorites, so of course I'm a big fan of Bale.
And agreed, I'm not looking forward to Affleck being the new Bat. But, I'm guessing the movie will be a disappointment anyway, like this first one was. LOVED Henry Cavill as Superman, and the movie had big potential, but I was let down.

@bookish: Exactly! And Batman is/was more complex than Daredevil. I've only seen Ben in a few roles that could be considered "dark" which you need to play Batman.
