I definitely miss more work when LO is sick. DH refuses to call in sick and his allotted sick hours go dead at the end of the year.

DH is a bank manager so he's got pretty flexible ability to change hours; but I also have the ability to work from home, so I will likely be home more often.

My husband will because he has the ability to work from home. So as long as LO is in that in between phase where he/she is too sick to go to day care, but not super super sick then hubs will stay home and just try to squeeze in as much work as possible. If LO is really sick and there would be no way he would be able to work then I will probably be the one to just take a sick day and stay home.

DH usually does. I can work from home, but if I'm home with a sick kid, very little gets done. DH has near total autonomy and flexibility with his work schedule, so unless it's a rare day when he's giving a talk or something, he has no qualms about calling in, and he can easily make up the hours another day, at night, over the weekend, etc.

Hasn't come up yet because I am still on maternity leave, but DH will. His job is more flexible and he has 5 weeks vacation/sick leave combined. I won't have that luxury. We also may utilize DH's mom if needed because her job is so flexible as well.

I'm at home full-time now, but we used to split it. Usually, I'd take off the morning and DH would take off the afternoon. That way, neither of us had to miss a full day of work, and neither of us ran out of PTO.
