I need him. He does soooo much for me. But he needs me to help with LO.

DH says I totally need him more. I agree. He brings home the cheddah so I can stay home with my LO!

@mrbee: lol! okay. asked again and he says he needs me more emotionally!

My DH needs me more. I'm currently the breadwinner. He is still my partner and he knows I would be lost without him.

I definitely need Rob Sr. more than he needs me. Although without me his life would be in total disarray! I keep things running... he is the emotional rock and visionary for our lives. It's a good system.

I need DH more - definitely. We're both independent, but he is my rock when I get emotional. He keeps me centered and helps me to realize what's actually important.

Dh needs me. Half the time he can't find his keys it proper paper work for bills.

@mrbee: wow Mr Bee you are an identical twin?? Cool!
DH needs me more in the sense that if I died or we split it would destroy DH completely whereas I think I would cope better. That makes me sound heartless, which is not the case (!). Also I think having lost a parent I would be more equipped to deal with the grief if widowed.

I think it shifts but right now I definitely need him more. The last half of 2011 was a horrible year (death, lay off, health issues, etc) and now I'm 33 weeks pregnant so I could never imagine not having him.
Which is SO opposite from when we met, I was an independant woman!

@mrbee I think my comment did sound sort of abrupt. I think it has a lot to do with the way we grew up. I was bounced around a lot and became independent really young. My dad raised me and he doesn't show a lot of emotion so neither do I. My husband was raised by his mom who is super affectionate. So now he needs me to tell him that I love him, hug, and talk about feelings to feel secure in our relationship. I feel like I know he loves me and while those things are great I don't need them. When we first started dating and got serious I was really had to work on being an emotional person. It took a while to get there, but I did. I think it's a way we balance each other out now.

In general he needs me more - he relies on me to keep him organized and gets very lonely without me! I am much more independent than he is.

But, now that I'm on bedrest I need him more!

Oh I definitely need him more! Firstly, he has a masters and I only have an AA so I def need him for his skillz he has a good teaching job that allows me to finish school and be home with our son. even when I was pregnant I didn't have to work which was great.

Emotionally too as well. Sometimes I think I have an attachment or dependency disorder lol in all seriousness I don't know how I would cope without him. I have a really hard time with the fact that he works long days/nights. I will cry because I miss him so much!

Since others have mentioned, he is the breadwinner...But emotionally I'd say it depends on the day! I'd say we're about equal but sometimes it seems I'm the more "needy" one because he isn't available much at all during his work week, whereas even though I have grad school, I'm able to have my phone on me at all times, spend a lot of time at home, etc. I like to think he'd seem "needier" if I were less available than I am!

I think emotionally we are pretty even in the needing department. We are both pretty independent, but lean on each other from time to time. I think though, when I am off work for the year, I will need him a bit more, because I will have fewer outside sources of fulfilment.
