Ok here are your options:
1) You are the designated plunger.
2) Your SO is the family plunger
3) Whoever created the situation has to deal with it
4) Other?

Whoever notices it deals with it. Our master BR toilet gets finicky once in a while b/c the previous owner decided to install a low-flow kit. No nasty messes though.

You deal with your own situation for sure. No one is getting called in to mess with anyone else's business

Definitely number 3!!! I suffer from IBS so I could never ask DH to tackle that situation...lol

#3 in our house unless I plunged and there's nothing in the bowl, but water doesn't flow freely then I call the hubby to come help.

I've never plugged the toilet, so DH (who loves his TP in mass quantities) is always the plunger.

My husband, regardless of who created the situation!!!!

3... but somehow I'm the only one who ever causes it. I really don't understand. But I've gotten very good at fixing it

@Foodnerd81: I am the same as you! I swear we just have crappy (no pun intended) plumbing, but that doesn't explain how DH has never clogged our toilets.........

Usually #3!! but there have been a very few occasions where I've had to call him in for some help, and it was sooo embarrassing! :T

#3. Luckily this has never happened. We don't even own a toilet plunger, lol.

Dh. Or maintenance!
Luckily we haven't had a clogged toilet!

You know, I don't think we've had an "incident" since we moved into our place (2 years)... Don't get me wrong, I have plungers EVERYWHERE because I'm terrified of it, but so far, so good...

Number 3! I've told DH that I might need help before, but I can normally fix it myself! it doesn't help though that even if I just pee, most of the toilet paper doesn't flush down with it. So we always have to flush 2-3 times for anything!

#3 - but my problem is when my husband like, half clogs the toilet but somehow the water makes it down so he doesn't plunge, but then the next person who goes automatically clogs it no matter what is happening in there, lol. I HATE when he does that!

You know what...reading these responses makes me think this may be the reason DH never goes #2 in the toilet that needs plunging.
