I don't even put myself in cashmere, so no way is my baby going to wear it! That's a lot of money for something she will outgrow quickly.

If I was so wealthy that $200 was like $5 to me, then sure, I'd do it, haha. But I can't even imagine how wealthy I'd have to be to be able to say "Oh, it's under $200! What a steal!"

Oh yeah, I will spend $200 for a sweater to have R spit up carrots, sweet potatoes, or BM/formula all over. In fact I will get one in white

I don't even like cashmere myself. I think I just hate animal fiber sweaters to begin with. They're not exactly ideal for Florida weather and sensitive skin. So sorry baby, no $150 sweaters for you.

I guess we don't love our babies enough to give them the very best cashmere. My poor kiddo is always in boring old cotton Carter's outfits.
I see these as being bought by wealthy relatives as shower gifts. The same relative who gives you lovely but useless crystal figurines or something.

I about choked when I just saw the prices on those sweaters. I don't spend $200 on clothing items for ME, when I'm likely to wear it for the next several years; I sure as heck am not going to spend it on something that will be worn for a few months at best! Crazy...

I bought LO an entire fall/winter wardrobe from Carter's and BGap for $160. I shudder to think that for $40 more, she could have ONE outfit, even if it is cashmere!

Eh, I wouldn't, but I can definitely see some our friends without kids buying a cashmere sweater/outfit as a gift. After having a baby, I don't think I would ever buy someone a cashmere piece of clothing! A cashmere blanket, yes--those look super cuddly!

I've put away all of my cashmere sweaters until my daughter is old enough to not cover them in sticky, so the idea of actually putting in on my child is a little laughable. But I don't even buy gap stuff full price for her - when it just gets stained and needs replacing in a few months.

I want the best for my baby---but cashmere ain't it. I'm more than pleased with what he has. I think the most I ever spent on a piece was 1/10th of the price of that sweater.

When LO was six months old, I found a $6 cashmere Janie and Jack sweater at our consignment store. It was so soft! She only wore it a couple of times but I had to laugh at the "dry clean only" tag and picture it on a rack at the dry cleaners on a tiny, tiny hanger:)

I'm actually allergic to cashmere. Lol. I have extremely sensitive skin that I gave to my LO so no cashmere for him either.

I wouldn't buy it, but if it were a gift, I'd put her in it for some nice pictures! Like @hilsy85: , a cashmere blanket sounds really nice and cuddly, but I would be worried about allergies.
