LO and I are going to the Mommy and Me showing of The Martian on Tuesday. I'll actually be seeing it before DH, which never happens! I'm also a big science/space geek, so I am so, so excited to see this movie. I really want to read the book, too, but with a 6 month old, who has time?

We're going to see The Martian! I loved the book and have been really looking forward to the movie. The only movie I'm more excited to see is The Force Awakens! It'll be our last trip to the movies before baby.

we want to see the martian too, but no childcare, so we're waiting until she has a preschool day where DH isn't on shift. hopefully in the next two weeks because we have DD2 coming soon!

I haven't been to the movies in forever, but DH and I are going on a date night tomorrow night before baby #2 comes in 2 weeks. We're going to see Black Mass, can't wait!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: There are about 8 or so movie theatres in our city that offer matinee movies for small children and their parents/caregivers. The prices are lower, and free for children under two. The sound is reduced, and the lights are dimmed, rather than being turned off. They also set up a change table, and usually have a jumperoo and a rocking chair standing by. I've seen several movies this way since LO was born.

We attempted Hotel Transylvania 2 last weekend but J was sick and we had to leave. We'll try again this weekend. He loves the first one and was upset we didnt get to finish it.

Me too! $6 Saturday morning show at AMC, with the comfy reclining seats! I've been really excited about The Martian ever since I saw the first preview.
Once baby comes in January, we have no family around us or babysitting money so I know there will be no movies for quite some time!
