We are! ILs and my parents and extended fam (dad's side) are all coming over!
We usually host though! We got a "break" last year since I had DS the before!
I'm excited though, the drama relative isn't coming

Me! DH is in Iceland for the month but my mom is here. So it's me and C, my mom, a few friends and their kids.
This will be my first time hosting a "big" holiday.

We are! It's my first time hosting. There will only be five of us so it isn't too intimidating. I'm cleaning my house today, shopping tomorrow, and they are arriving on Wednesday.

D's aunt always hosts at her cabin on the Chesapeake Bay. D would throw a fit if anyone else tried to host it
MIL and I help with the cooking/baking though.

My mom is, it's her holiday she hosts every year. This year we have my in-laws and my cousin's new in-laws (they just got married a few weeks ago) coming. Plus the first grandchild. The family keeps growing!

@Mrs. Champagne: It is wonderful. Even full of people it's relaxing. No one really tries to host it elsewhere...I think someone tried 10-15 years ago and D and his brothers threw a massive fit

We host every year. I LOVE it - Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, we don't have to travel, I get to cook all day.
I usually do the bulk of my grocery and liquor shopping the weekend before (I went yesterday), and then my MIL and I go to Whole Foods on Wednesday to pick up the last minute stuff - turkey, more wine, anything I forgot over the weekend.

My aunt & uncle host every year. We have to drive 3 1/2 hours to get there, but I don't have to cook so it's worth it!

This is our first year of attempting to make Thanksgiving dinner. We're hosting it at my parent's house. All the kids are cooking! The hubby and I are taking care of the meat (turkey and ham) and my two younger cousins and lil brother are taking care of sides and desserts!
