I'm in. @regberadaisy: Does grocery shopping during the "no spend" week count as frivolous spending?

I'm in! I'll have to drop out if I go into labor, though, because I refuse to eat hospital food so we will definitely be buying some meals.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: nope, grocery shopping is an necessity! But buying chips or a candy bar would!
@tlcbaby: that's not an excuse!

@regberadaisy: lol. No problem then! We don't really spend money on frivolous things anyways... only things we *need*... like that morning coffee? haha. Kidding.
It's hard to not spend cause I'm a deal hunter and can't pass up a great deal! Like... my husband doesn't *need* a pair of black shoes right now, but when I saw a pair for $30, how could I pass that up! I bought it and threw it in the closet for when he needs it.

I'm already doing this! We went out of town last weekend to a wedding and spent a TON of money. We are going out of town this weekend and will spend a ton again! So this month I am limiting myself to 10 dollars/week on groceries, and I'm trying not to buy anything else. HOWEVER, I need tomato cages for my plants and some pots for my herb garden. Not sure if that counts though!
@PurplePumps: I'm trying to do a better job of "shopping in my house" for needed items that I don't want to buy. For example, I randomly found three pots to use in my garden that I had bought a million years ago and stashed to use. I found some fencing to use as trellis in my garden as well. I also need new tupperware but am using leftover plastic containers from yogurt, etc. I'm surprised at what I've been able to come up with!

I will join next time. I just received my first decent payment for maternity leave and I want to shop for some window treatments!

I just realized I probably won't be able to do it. This is my first week back to work and R first week at day care. I think getting us out without forgetting bottles and pumping parts is going to be enough work for me so I will probably just buy lunch at the cafeteria every day.
