Haha. I think we have equal amount of crazy..! DH is one of FIVE! I'm one of 3 girls.

Haha, I never thought about the number of kids you have may dictate the amount of crazy in your family. If I look at just immediate family, my family is more crazy but not because I have 3 siblings and he has 1. It's mainly my parents... well my dad really.

If we were to look at extended family, I think we both have a good (bad?) amount of crazy.

Hubs' family is more normal, mine is more nuts, but both have some issues. My sister does all sorts of crazy stuff, can't manage to live on her own, etc. Hubs' sister is fairly codependent, but she's got a good boyfriend who supports her and helps her out. His family just feels so normal, whereas I cannot say the same about mine.

oh geez, mine. for sure. there are several levels of dysfunction elsewhere.

Haha! Dh's mom is 30+ years younger than his dad and DH has six half sibling all older than my parents. I'd say that makes mine more normal. His also has a ton of drama and a lot of divorces.

We're extremely lucky that both of our immediate families are actually incredibly normal and drama free. Our extended families both have some crazy in them and are probably equally crazy but we see/deal with mine more often than his. Although..his uncle did attempt to make out with my ear during the receiving line at our wedding.

Our immediate families have no crazy. But hubs' has one branch of cousins that are crazy. Jail time, drug issues, unplanned pregnancies, etc. that aunt and uncle basically took no active role in raising their kids so they all ended up kind of screwed up.

I think my family is more normal, at least these days. A few years ago, we could have given hubs' family a run for their money, but all the drama has calmed down. Hubs' family on the other hand is NUTS.
