Why do people have such issues boarding? It's not that hard people, look at your boarding group number and board when they call the number. Is this rocket science???

It must be rocket science since people do not get it. At all. Also, standing in front of the entrance waiting for your group just makes it take longer since the people that were called cant get in. People in airports are the worst.

It's because people are rude and stupid. I hate when everyone bum rushes the desk when they call boarding, even when it's not their zone.
I will say that I just flew from Heathrow to St Louis with my 8 month old and people were very polite and helpful.

Yes. And I cannot stand when people pack their oversize carry ons and take forever holding up everyone else.

Totally agree. Also when people crowd the baggage carousel. Don't go up there until you see your suitcase!!

I just think a lot of people don't actually fly all that often. And if you don't, it can be very nerve wracking. I don't think most people are really that stupid, just not experienced.

I agree with @bree72. I think the majority are just nervous people. My dad for example flies a couple times a year to visit my brother and every time acts like its the first time. However, I also agree with the just wait for your section to be called and don't crowd the carousel!

Arghh, it gets on my nerves when as SOON as they call the rows for general boarding EVERYONE makes a mad dash and starts lining up! I also think the flight attendants need to do a better job of monitoring the carry-on luggage sizes people bring on board.

I just went on a flight where they required everyone with roller boards to gate check them (it was a TINY regional jet and the bins were undersized). Boarding was a breeze because nobody was rushing to get on the plane first to grab the overhead bin space! Ahhh... it was like the good ole days

Have you ever spent some time looking at humanity at Disneyland? It makes you realize that there is a huge bell shaped distribution of intelligence and it's all on display there!
